I have all I need to do some Spell Editing, but when I try to extract war3.mpq onto the MPQ View, I dont get anything (MPQ View never actually loads it). Is this because I dont have it on my Warcraft 3 directory? Could someone tell me why it wont work? |

The best idea to use MPQView is: 1) Download it 2) Create a SEPARATE dir for it and copy the storm.dll that is inside your war3 dir to where you placed MPQVIEW. 3) The first time you run MPQVIEW you need to "feed" it with a listfile. Go to the menu File->Open data file and select a "War3 Listfile". 4) Go to the menu File->Open archive and open your Mpqs. If it is not showing anything that´s probably happening coz you dont have a list file. Download a listfile and do STEP 3 back. You can grab listfiles for almost every Blizzard game here: http://scfreak.0catch.com/ |

Are you using listfiles? If you don't you can download them at my website (take care of the information if you are using no download manager!). |

1) What is a listfile anyways? 2) I can't download any from that site, it says access is denied. 3) I put the MPQ View on My Documents. Is it ok like that? |

1) A file that contains information about the files inside a MPQ. 2) Go to http://scfreak.0catch.com/dlindex.html (this is the download page). Read what it says on the top. 3) If you want to have it there, it's OK. |

Night_Orc you´re probably usng the "old" version of storm.dll tha comes with MpqView. Just copy the Storm.dll from the W3 folder to the MpqView folder and it should work. |
