Some people to help a newb plz..!

Hi every one i downloaded 3dwings since i heard u gotta buy 3ds max and currently i got no money so..anyway heres my question oh and note im a total newb i never tryed or saw anything like this before..

1.What exactly is moddeling..(damn ima get laughed at my face for this one)
2.how do you exactly open stuff...i tried import image and it doesnt seem to be working

and well ive read many tutos but id like a small tuto on wings 3d if anyone wouldnt rather

Anywho, modeling is basically molding 3D-like shapes, that the computer renders out? (am I conf00sing you yet?). And a lot of things can be done with it. Someone else should explain it ha.

Uhm...and it open the stuff you need exporter's. TO start I recomend getting abook or looking at tutorials. And modeling is like drawing, not everyone can do it, and you can't learn talent. It's basically what your imagination holds :gsmile:


Sum it all up...modeling is molding 3D shapes into whatever you want, and you can animate them and make worlds if you wish!!!

all i realy have to say is... try looking at some tutorials, or reading arround the forum , before starting a thread asking questions like this. no im not trying to be mean. but im sure if you just looked you would find your answers

I take it you are completely new to the concept of modeling. Try checking in the wings3d forums. They have a user manual and in the Q&A section a sticky on tutorial links. Those are the best resources for learning wings. The manual I would recommend because it will help you become introduced with the concept of 3d modeling and it will teach how to use the software. The tutorials will teach you how to use your knowledge of the software to create things.
I hope that's helpful to you, please ask any other questions you might have relating to 3d modeling even if you think it is simple. Of course make a reasonable effort to see if your question has been answered already in another post.
