the warcraft 3 registry data are gone somehow. probably because you reinstalled windows, you applied a registry data backup without warcraft 3 data in it, you uninstalled/reinstalled warcraft 3 improperly or you used some badly written warcraft 3 tool that messed up the registry data. 1. press start -> run 2. type "regedit", then press enter. you should now see a windows explorer like thing 3. go to and select HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\WarCraft III at the left panel 4. right click some blank space at the right panel, select new -> string value. name the new string value to InstallPath 5. double click the InstallPath you've just created. type where you've installed warcraft 3. do not put a \ at the end. the default installation directory is C:\Program Files\WarCraft III 6. press enter, close registry editor. it works now |

Doesn't UMSWE have to be in the same directory as World Edit? Did you do that? |

I have a different problem with UMSWE. Whenever I open it it tells me there are a bunch of strings missing. Mostly log doodads. Anyone else see this and know why? They are NOT custom items I'd implanted wrong, these are normal ones. :bgrun: It doesn't effect my map making but it is curious. And no, I haven't reinstalled it yet, like I said, it doesn't effect my map making. |
