New map... Maybe a Campaign

Ok, the last post I made got almost absoulutely no replies. So I'm going to make it a little more detailed this time, and hopefully people will read it.

I'm looking to make just a map, with details, lots of them, with almost every aspect of the WE being used. Kind of like STFU Arena, it is not only a Hero Arena but lots more.

Or I am looking to do a campaign. Do a good solid campaign on whatever the team would prefer.

So, With that mentioned I would like to describe my own skills and then some details on some things.

Skinning= 0%
Modeling= 0%
Terraining= 70%
Triggering= 100%
Unit Editing= 100%
Spell Editing= 60%
Cinematics= 0 %

I could probably learn everything I have 0% in. It's just all the tutorials in WC3 Campigns, are spread out and sometimes hard to get because you jump from one to another. So basically my strengths are triggering and unit editing. I could use a little info on a few things about spell editor but not much. I have all the programs required to do everything so with a little help I could probably do it.

The map, I preferably do not care what it is based on. Anything would suit me as long as it is detailed and not a tower D (unless the TD varies from others with new features.) And I probably would not want to do just a basic RPG. Where you get a character, and level up, and thats the whole game, (beside buying items.) Of course, You probably could make any game long, because again STFU Arena, was made from a hero arena, so I'll probably accept any type to work on as long as it's detailed.

The campaign, probably about the same thing as the map. Except for the campaign, I will probably want some new skins and things. (I may want those for the map to. Depending on Map Type) The campaign storyline CAN be written by me, but I will need a few ideas to write it on. Although, someone else can write it if they like.

I think that's about all I need to cover. This is really just an open-ended post, with anything being excepted as a reply and probably being deemed useful. So any ideas or help you want to contribute just reply here, Pm me, email me, or instant message me. (All that information at bottom.)

If I get some ideas and see what we will do I will post another thread; on the team and what we will need, and all the details of it.

Ok i have a little idead. After about 6 hours of the thread being up only 6 views. COMON PEOPLE. Some of this stuff can be fun. I have been talking to alot of people that i have just seen from the forums that have some hard to find skills. I'm not sure if they will come but who knows, might as well try.

Heres some type of story: (if i'm copying anyone, i have no idea i did)

I kind of would like to make a medievil map, like knights, back in the king Arthur age, yet with mystical creachers, and things like that, enchanted beings.

Maybe a battle between two castles, you being the hero and a computer AI mass producing trigger produced units to siege the other teams castle. While you the hero, controls a smaller town to buy an army and help siege the other mans castle. And i mean like actual archers on high walls firing on a bridge with men crossing or sorts like that. I think the Computer AI, part with the men constantly coming out of places, until that "main building" (whatever it will be) is destroyed and the spawn stops. Yet the hero idea for the actual players may be lacking. I need some more ideas for him instead of just building and leveling up. Some good ideas, about more things the hero could do such as something people did back then like different professions or something. Maybe make an RPG inside it. I really need some ideas, and i like this one pretty good.

I am still open to a new idea completely different than that or just a few more upgrades on that idea and more things we could do.

AND I STILL NEED PEOPLE TO HELP! i want the map so good, it will definetely take more than 1 person to complete.

Ok, first of all, I ain't giving up, and I would like to make this map so complex it requires more than 1 person. Because I can't do every aspect of editing. I got the time to wait. And maybe instead of just saying stuff i really did not need to hear, you could say something constructive that would help.

Comon people, doesn't anyone wanna help, and people who say they are looking for work, check around, I'm trying to find all of ya'll and posting and email you. Ok anyway, people start wanting to help!

Dude.... no offense, but people aren't replying because they dont like the idea.. and as far as I can see... all your accompishing is making youself look bad by bumping your threads

That's why I said the idea can be changed. If people don';t like the idea why don't they just say it. I would change it.

And the logic in that statement is...?

You need to come up with an idea, if ppl don't like it they will simply NOT reply... So if you see this happening, give up on it... don't keep bumping a thread for no reason... Yea.. I understand wanting to start a campaign, but... you can't just say, "I can change the idea". That just makes it look like you don't have a clue as to what you are doing. If you have an Idea and noone responds, either A. Give up on it. or.. B. Expand on the Idea and maybe post a screenshot of something...

I didn't get many replies to my Final Fantasy mod at first, then I posted up a screenshot of a model... and all of a sudden I got plenty of ppl replying, and wanting to join...

Ahhh i guess your right reaper. Im gonna get someone individually to help me get a outline of the map and a few screenshots, thx for the help.
