Need Terrain? I need a partner!

I'm here now to post some of my terrain that I'm currently making, and to ask if anyone wishes to do a cinematic with me. I don't care what it's about, as long as I have someone with me to make the job easier. BTW, I wouldn't mind more than one person!!

So I'll post some screenies right here. NOTE: The whole map's not done, so some of it might look weird. And I would like to get some feedback on the images, plz.

This one is a day view of the main road, from the bridge of the castle.

What's this peasant looking at?

He's looking at this giant cathedral!


I've got more shots of it, but I'll post them when I get back from work.

Nice, i like the city screenshot the best. All of the terrain looks pretty good, but it needs some work.

Cathedral Screenie:
Needs more doodads. Maybe some flying butresses and gardens around it. go look at pictures of real cathedral and try to copy the scenery.:D

Peasant Screenie:
I dont know what he is looking at or where he is standing. Why would there be a fountain just sitting there without maybe trimmed trees, bushes, flowers, or benches.

City Screenie:
This is by far the best, but it still needs more. try adding low walls along the edge of the houses and maybe some flowers or bushes. What would make it really good is smoke coming out of the chimneys.;)

Its looking good but i dont need a project, sry. Good luck on it though!:D

Cool! Try to ad some gardens, or perhaps gravestones to make the cathedral look realsitic! Maybe some decorations around it! Put some priests around it! It does need more doodads, I agree, Zurg. It looks kinda empty...

Not even the Great Plains are that flat (I live in them) You have to have hills especially around the Cathedral. It would probly be sitting on top of a hill.

its ok, BTW I need a terrainer for my cinematic series, The winter's Fire chronicles... If you didn't notice it's gonna have the winter theme, if you're intrested pm me. I'll give you alot of credit

And the peasant is looking at the cathedral. (If you look closely at the bottom right corner, you'll see him by the fountain.)


Thank you all for the feedback. Thanks for the chimney smoke idea Zurg! I don't think I would have ever though of that! :D But with the not-so-many-doodads issue, as I said before, it's not done yet, and I was thinking about making most of the terrain before putting in little details. But for you, I will add them in to the already existing terrain and post them here.

I'll post some more screenies later tonight.

It's VERY good compared to my beginning terrain. The only problem is that it's a bit too flat. Also, towns aren't meant to be flat and symmetrical. Try to add some space instead of making both sides symmetrical. Not even the most famous cities are symmetrical :D

Thanks for the symmetrical thing, Sheep. :foot: I can probably fix that really quickly. Anyway, here are some of those screenies I've promised. And note that these are old ones, you wont see the fixes in them.

And sorry for the bad quality of these images. I had to mess them up to fit them on here.

Looking alot better.
The wall screenie that you wanted us to give opinions on gave me an idea. I noticed that the grass kinda looked like ivy or something on the wall, maybe if you want it to look lithis way, add some bushes and stuff around the bottom instead of trees.
On the gate screenie with the flags, i prefered the one with flags. Just put the flags underneath or lower them slightly.
I really liked the graveyard shot, it really sets a creepy mood.:D

The graveyard one is the best. Keep up the good work!
