Haven't thought of a name yet but it seems like such a good idea. You get a ship and you can buy components for it like lasers, machineguns, missiles, fighters, etc. so you can ALMOST FULLY customize your ship for combat. It will play out like AOS/DOTA. As for your hero, it will be the captain of the ship that can't move (since he's on the ship!) but can only learn abilities to increase combat effectiveness of the ship. Here's a list of stuff I already got. Terrain - 90% done Units - 60% done Triggers - 35% done List of components: Short range: Topside Vulcan Gun Underside Vulcan Gun Short-Range Missile Rack Laser Cannon Plasma Bombing Bays Streak Short-Range Missile Rack Flak Cannon Prism Cannon Flamethrower Medium Range: Extended-Range Laser Large Laser Particle Projectile Cannon Proton Torpedoes Particle Beam (30% chance to take off 25% HP) Long Range: Long-Range Missile Rack Extended-Range Large Laser Extended-Range Particle Projectile Cannon Sprocket Launcher Railgun Misc: Internal Repair System Thrusters Fighter Bays (required to build fighters) ECM Fighters: Sky Grasper (Vulcan Gun, Proton Torpedoes) Seraphim (Streak SRM Rack) Centurion (Prism Cannon) It will also have custom buttons for each weapon. I'm gonna try to get a working public beta as soon as I can. in the mean time, someone give me some feedback so I can improve it. :mtk: |

Water World? Oh. Uh, I think you mistake it for "boats". I mean ships that are like "spaceships". =) And the captain is just an invisible air unit thats invunerable. He dies when the ship dies. |

You going to use custom skins/models cos the map will be kinda wierd withoutn them, also if you do use skins wont that make the map really big? so whats it gonna be convincing gamplay? or Downloadability? |

dont make it too typical AoS style that s all i have to say. AoS means hero based with 3rd party units town vs town scenario... not a DOTA ripoff. |

I've been thinking of making the units that spawn out of the buildings to move through different roads, like they come across a fork in the road and the group either goes left or right. That way, they're less predictable and can overpower a team if theyre not paying attention. Also thinking about "manual firing weapons". You have to type in something like "-fire nuke" to fire a nuke. =D Same thing with special missiles, land mines, etc. I think I also managed to balance out the weapons I put in already. Like if you just buy a bunch of long range missiles and railguns, you could easily be killed with short range weapons and fighters, or you can buy some extra thrusters to stay at long range. As for the custom models and skins, I would wanna see how popular the map gets before I devote time to it. Anyways, thanks for your feedback. I'l try to get a working beta here ASAP. :ggani: |
