After I've uploaded a certain number of items into my map, it can't upload any more. The limit for this seems to be 64 files. Any ideas why this happens? I've tried other maps, also. =/ |

If you had read the previous posts in this forum, you would know that mpq files created in WE can only support up to 64 files, and that the newest version of WinMPQ can change this without manually making a new mpq and copying the files. |

Newest version being 1.62? That's what I have. Still, 64 max problem. |

Check my explanation (which comes originally from FM_Drax a long time ago) in the FAQ thread. With WinMPQ 1.62 there is an easier way (which I should add to the FAQ): 1) Extract all files from your map into a folder 2) Create a new MPQ using WinMPQ (probably you want to edit the maximum number of files, so go to Options -> General and enter a power of 2 into the first field). Add all extracted files from your old map. Then add all files you want to add to your map. 3) Go to Tools. Select MPQ Embedder 4) Open your map with it (the original one). 5) Hit Remove. 6) Hit add and select the MPQ file you have created to add 7) Test your map :D (should work) |
