Whats all this fuzz about?

I cant see what all this fuzz is about. I think that cotn is like an c movie on the edge of b. The story has been seen before and the scene layouts arent very good. There is some nice skins thou but they arent that good. Its just recoloring. Hey we have a world map and a world with races comeon thats stuff i did in middleschool but when i got to highschool i atleast made some new languages to the different races/species. (And signs)
So basically i cant see what all the fuzz is about. Its just like an c-movie without budget or ideas.

Basically, I did the first part for fun, didn't really know if I'd continue it or not. But seeing how people enjoyed what I brought new, I decided to continue. I made up the story as I went on, until part 4 where I decided to clarify things to myself and plan the whole thing. So from part 1 to 3, it might look a little messy since you just don't know much about the world you're into(I didnt know myself at that time either).

New languages? No need to be a genius to do that, pick random syllabs, put 'em one in front of another and you get a new word. Ohhh you mean with symbols and all? How am I supposed to have 'em speak with custom symbols? Who would understand? That's just something that could be done but it definitely would be useless. I didn't spend hours on this so I only had the elven female speak some random words in a mystical language in part 4.

How can you complain about the world map? Oh sorry I forgot about your way of thinking, you couldnt pick on it so you made it sound useless and futile. Alright then just try and imagine how unorganized it'd look without a world map showing the locations... Messy uh?

ok the scene layouts aren't good, How would you have them? Remember that I am not a professional "producer" or anything like that. It's just a hobby so don't go and compare that with The matrix or any other damn movie. It's being done with absolutely no budget and I'm not getting paid for this, plus I cannot go beyond the limits Warcraft 3 can offer, even though I went past a lot of challenges and brought things nobody ever thought of.

So you're also complaining about the skins: From part 1 to 4 I was alone doing everything, I didn't have time to make huge reskins since I had to do everything else. I learned how to add skins to a map when I did Part 4 only, so they were my first tests also. Right now I am receiveing help from KDEwolf and are in the process of reskinning most of the units you see. This thread isn't there for nuthin BTW:

From what I could understand you're looking like a much wiser and cultured person than I am, right? :bgrun: Then here's the challenge mr. hero: Do something better and I'll bow, otherwise don't play the-guy-that-knows-what-to-do-and-how-to-do-it-more-than-anyone-else-can. Got that?

Also, Make sure you know what you're talking about before criticizing it. What you did here was actually pick only on the weak points COTN has, leaving the strong points unnoticed: "Alright I can,t pick on this point so I won't talk about it, but then I could say this part could've been done by a 6 year old kid so it's worth tellin him and he'll look noobish." That is basically how you are thinking, and I doubt I am wrong. COTN has brought so much innovative stuff since its creation, and you obviously aren't aware of that.

Don't distort what I say. It is definitely not a great work of art but a good use of stuff the world editor allows you to display. I exploit every single thing I can in order to make everything as flawless as possible. Don't be influenced by my "henches", for they keep on calling me as a god or stuff like that: kind of biased. But hey, they like what I do! I've asked multiple times to stop calling me a god too, so don't misunderstand me here.

I admit some parts are similar to a LotR movie, such as Part 3 scene 2, but it still is a very interesting piece of action I,ve brought up. Yet it really has a similar mood and world so it's just normal you see similarities between both. I was really inspired by LOTR that I cannot hide, some ideas were taken straight out of it but in a different way.

I once reduced to music quality to 96 kbps and let me tell you it made a huge difference. Sounds like it's being played in a metallic can or sumthin (used soundforge 6). How would you proceed? I sure would like to know, it could help.

That's the kind of though that usually makes me mad, but I'll remain calm: I never ripped any idea from anyone, that is just totally wrong. I'd like examples of this. My terrains come all out of my mind, and are all high-quality. Most of the time it's the other people that copy mine, which I find flattering because it means they liked it. Otherwise no sorry I've never done anything like that.


The skins were done really quickly. I didn't put much enphasis on this. I know they are recolors and that is why KDEwolf and I are working on new skins for the final release of COTN.
if you,re skeptic about my skinning skills I'll refer you to the Elena skin I,ve recently done. Or did you see Ellin'Tor? I reskinned 75% of the city! I have the same advice on recolors, did you read this thread?

it's just I cannot allow myself to make extremely high quality skins because I want to be able to release stuff asap.

I believe you didn't understand much of the story with the sunlight affecting the ancient elves. It was a side-effect created by the spiritual stone when they used it to eliminate the corrupted humans. Just re-read that part you should understand better.

Ad for the big-head it's just a proof you don't know me at all :). It is an impression you have when browsing the COTN forum. The people are all saying how I am a god and all and it's annoying me too because I'm not. I'm bringing a lot of high-quality stuff but am fully aware I'm not the best at everything I do! The main difference is that COTN is the only project that really released stuff, so people didn't get to see what else can be done.

I ask you to reconsider the way you believe I am. Just ask pretty much anyone out there that knows me. I am encouraging people to make their own cins. See that cinematic contest? That is just the best way to promote less known people!

As for bugs you encounter, there are some I am fully aware of, but I cannot really repair everything everytime I see a bug: uploading the maps require a lot of time. But I'd be pleased if you could tell me here you see bugs, even though I havent noticed this "exoscist rotating head" problem ;)

you may have "re-skinned" ellin tor, but its mostly CnP from the sunken tileset. Not that it isnt time consuming...

Basically because I believe some people are overwhelmed by some kind of "jealousy" because I succeeded in making something that's making me "popular" or whatever you can think of. So because of that, instead of trying and come up with something better they prefer to try and destroy what I did which is the easy way out and the lazy's way out. I'm opposed to this way of thinking.

Of course it doesn't really matter: it's not 1 person out of one thousand that's going to discourage me from doing what I like. But I always prefer to make things clear.

I've also talked about that, and mentioned that the only thing that comes from FT is the plants and the tileset. Nothing else comes from FT I can guarantee.

Ive made matrix style cinematics to try out for the mod im working on so i know how to make that stuff and it aint that hard.
I made the camera move with the units and rotate and all that stuff. The body flying in slowmotion and bouncing on the ground.

Im critizising what other ppl think of ur skills and i think that ur overrated. Im not critizing u as a person more ur fans. But then again u cant grip the fact the ppl might think ur stuff suck which is too bad.

And u use ur popolarity to get ppl banned so it aint jealousy.

To get people banned? If you're referring to Krazy I only warned the other mods on how he was restarting to flame, and then immediatly Electromancer banned him. I didn't ask anything, well in fact I did ask something: to restrict his access to the COTN forum.

Well y'know I based my opinion on what people believe, and most of the feedback is positive.

BTW I never altered anything in his posts. You cannot believe how that guy is a manipulator. I already had a discussion with him and he succeeded in makin me believe soooooooo much stuff, and how he was innocent and all. I remember clearly, he asked me to tell the admins to unban him, he even praised me and all. but when I declined telling I had absolutely no control over this he went totally insane and started flaming me like never before.

Seriously, don't listen to that guy too much. He hasn't been banned twice for nothing.
