max files attached on a w3m

Hey,
For the map I'm making I wanted nearly an entire new icon set for spells, so I'm attaching the blps with winmpq. The problem is, it seems there can't be more than 64 files. When I try to "add" more they just won't be added. Because of the map files, slks, txts, and the fact I have to include a disabled blp with each command button blp, this means I can only have 18 new icons. I tried extracting the regular map files, created a new w3m file in winmpq, and then attaching everything, but warcraft didn't even show the map existing in the directory, and the map editor crashed trying to open it. I figured out a strange problem with that method (it lost my custom units in the process) so I got to the point where I could open the map in the world editor, but warcraft still won't recognize it.

any help?

One of them i have been told would be to open / save your map with zepir's editor without altering it.

The other one i know of is make a new mpq with winMPQ and add all the files from your map in it. Then rename the mpq's extension to w3m

The thing is that you might need to change the header of that new file with an hex editor, but i yhink someone came with a better way. Can't remember the thread though, sorry.

Try to search the Map Development forum for that bit.

Regards
