Nah, they were ex-elves, now they were High Elves, and now they are Blood Elves. That's nearly as much nicknames as Xenographic/Sashanan/Semptimaru/Nogumari, but not as much as Mav. |

Preety good. Now if this is a model not used in original Warcraft III (and it uses a new skin, not used by original Warcraft III), I might have some use for it in my campaign - though I'll have to modify it a bit to fit the story - he'd make a good Silvermoon Council member. If you're interesed, contact me. You'll get the credit of course. |

They were actually Night Elves untill they were banished (banned) and became High Elves. So there is actually a difference between High Borne/ High Elves/ Blood Elves tho they are the same people. |

Most of High Bourne became High Elves and Most of High Elves was transformed to Blood Elves. But not all... The difference is vital. However: Night Elves all seem to have dark, bluish skin, while all High Elves are pale. It could be that either the magic has somehow transformed High Elves (unlikely, since then Illidan would also be pale), High Bourne were pale from the start (thus implying on two different races, the minor one controlling the larger) or that the High bourne, as they were exilled somehow modified their appearance, either through magic or some other way. In either case, High Elves and Night Elves should have recognized themselves once they saw eachother in Kalimdor or High Elves should warn Jaina that there is "something in this woods of our ancient world". But not one such line exists in the game. In fact, when Tyrande talks about the Newcommers, she only mentions the greenskins (Orcs) and Humans. Not a word about the ancient relatives in form of Priests and Sorceresses. Why? |

Well it says in the CD-mannual in the Night Elf history that the High Elves gave up moon worshipping and noctual activity. That might be what changed their appearence. I think the reason why we don't hear the High Elves say anything when the Humans enter Ashenvale is that it is actually during the NE campaign and therefore we don't hear what the Humans say, or maybe Bliz just didn't think about that. Finally the reason why the High Elves don't recognize the High Elves might be that the Elves make up a very small minority of the human armies at that time, also High Elves look a lot like Humans from a distance with their pale skin. |

I like the idea that Blizz didn't think of it. They aren't gods after all :D Anyway, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I've seen a High Elf with a beard before. Anywhere. Even mr. Smith the Many of Matrix, I mean Elrond the Half Elf of Rivendell (Lotr) was shaved :D |
