how can i change unit's attack art to, let's say the graphic of the holy light spell? |

the only way I know of is to make it a missile (instant) and then set the projectile art to the desired mdl. Of course this makes it count as a ranged attack but I'm not sure if there is a way round that. |

k, i'll give it a shot... and what about changing spell graphics? i mean projectiles, extra art (like the thing above the units i cast roar on) and such? what files and what fields need to be modified? |

To change the graphics for Roar specifically, you must open NightElfAbilityFunc.txt. Search for "Roar" or "Aroa" and take a look at the "casterart=" and "targetart=". Other abilities are in their respective race's files. |

thx panto, this seems to work, but as for the attack projectile, i can't select the "holy light" graphic, or any other spell graphic for that matter, as a projectile art. i'm sure it's possbile to do because i've seen it in other maps but where do i do this? thx in advance. |

open a *maul map u can find triggers for such special effect! =) |

If you use UMSWE or another altered or enhanced editor, the field for "Projectile Animation" can have text entered. Then you simply type in the path for the model for Holy Light, and voila. |
