how come when i edit slk files and import it into a map to make custom units, it doesnt show up in the editor. or am i supposed to save them into the war3mpq, but doesnt this not work in multiplayer? |

Guest | I have had no experince with custom units what so ever. But with .slk files you make and put those files along with the strings and funcs, then run the world editor. |

If you want to see your edits appear in WE, you also need to put the edited files in the appropriate subfolders of warcraft 3. Then you have to Allow Local Files (DWORD registry value in the key "Warcraft III" with a value of 1) in : [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III] Regards |

make sure the edited slks and txts are put into "Units\" folder in your warcraft 3 directory... then they should appear in the WE... edit= note: the "Units\" folder doesnt contain the \ or it wont create it! |
