Actually, what I would like to see, is something completly new. With an totally unused storyline that you will never be able to expect what will happen next with more in-depth characters and a dark plot that keeps itself unrevealed.

Well if I used a storyline by you it wouldn't be original :D . But hey Why not do something new, something out of the box. Now I just gotta think of something... The only thing I know for sure is their will be a lot of twists and backstabbing:D :D

I dunno, sounds cool... heres an idea, I dunno if you will like it but hey, your sounding like your out of 'em...

Have an ancient demon unleashed that was Sargeras's rival or wanted Sargeras's position as head of the Burning Legion. Make the main characters acidentally unleash it from some lost crypt that was rumored to have ancient treasure or spells in it or something. They go looking for treasure and free demon somehow, the demon could turn the friends on eachother and theres your backstabbing. The demon would run away somewhere and build up forces, main chars gotta find him and stop him from taking over the Burning Legion...

I dunno, sounds kinda kewl :p

In my opinion, cinematics in the warcraft universe don't work out too well (unless you wanna make a historic documentary) cuz people already know the storyline real well. Try something not based on warcraft, like knights of the round table or something (I'm suprised no one has tried that idea yet).

It's very hard to be original in fantasy world, cuz most of the stuff like books, movies etc that are set in fantasy world have very much common and all based on each other. So u have to take the less used sides of fantasy world. As for myself I have an original idea of a cinematic but I don't wanna speak of it yet. ;)

Dude make a cinematic with Pirates! I have already made a [irate captain skin, im just waiting on KDE wolf to send me the Dealin Proudmoore model with team color removed so i can take the cape off. And I am working on making the rifleman into a pirate also, but im waiting for KDEwolf to send me the team color-less model for that too. And you could get someone to model a huuuge ship for scenery. It is possible to make the ship doodad really big and walkable so that you can just place it over solid terrain so it looks like units are walking on the deck but it looks really bad cus the skin is all low resolutionie when its that big lol.

Steps to making a story line -

1) THE MOST IMPORTANT ---- Imagine your world. Create a world, a planet : is it lush green, mountainous, ditchy, dark, void, magical, physical, past, present, future? Imagine all of these and don't be afraid to mix some more unorthadox descriptions

2) Characters - Imagine your main character. Is he an unlikely hero, a past hero, a strong couragous hero, a weak but magical hero? Don't forget to have something strongly unique about him/her and make him noticeable. Don't think you can only have 1 hero.

3) Friendly - Imagine who is on your heros side. A woman, a friend, a daughter/son, a father, a room mate. But don't think a hero HAS to have allies, maybe your hero is the only survivor or maybe everyone cast him out of society.

4) Enemy - Think of your enemy, imagine the enemies heros, the backstabbers, enemies that may help you, enemies that are most dangerous to your hero. Enemies eviroment, culture, traditions, scheme, what they want out of the whole, what they will be willing to bargain, how strong an enemy is it.

5) Why your hero is doing what hes doing. Why is your hero saving the world, killing an acient monster, ressurecting a fallen friend, taking revenge on a friends death, or journying for answers? This is where it all wraps up and should be revieled at the end or mid-end.

Now think of how to pull all these imaginations together into a seamless, convincing world. Have events unfold unto each other and create a world that chain reacts to unveil events and effects. Remember to make your world imaginable but not over done. Create a life that is adaptable to the enviroment but not overpowering it. Your world should not be changed easily by life interactions but your life should quickly adapt to it. Remember all these things and you will be set on making a seamless and perfect fitting story.

None of those. They all have been done before. And don't try to make any cliched charecters. Make something interesting.
My plot for my cinematic has a very weird plot about an outcast, but there is something different about him. He has no intention of being a hero. The world has forsaken him and his people. If anything, he'd want to... wait. I said too much. My plot is the big thing of mine. But it's basically about greater bieng and secrecy. Damn, too much info. You have to create a whole world before you make a plot. And to be honest (*puts on his armor*), CotN is in real desperate need of a good story line. (*Villagers come to burn his house down*) If you have to rely on action to keep your cinematic worth watching, then you need to get help with a story quick, cuz all action and no plot is shallow. A good plot is invaluable.

Ooooh, Chicken_Soup, DK is going to burn your house down :D

My storyline is quite different too. It's based up in the skies, which I presume no one used before.

Hehehehe. But I still like the cinematic alot. It's just that I don't like the story that much. I eagerly await part 5, whcih is it nearly 70%. Besides, my house is full brick. :////

Expect to see much more of my idea in the very near future (check sig). I got alot of terrain done and the story is nearly complete. So in a couple weeks or so I'll show the finished terrain and I'll get a team up, so I have something to show. It'll be very different. But I can't wait to see your Castle in the Sky cinematic. That's original, for the Warcraft world. You're probably an anime nut.
