Since my terrainer quit *couf*dead-inside*couf* this project has been on hild. im doin terrain now, so im takin a tab at it. i need someone who knows substrings well to help me with the chat commands. reply here if ya knwo allot bout substrings. |

You mean something on the line of..... EVENT Player Group(all Players) types a message containing give- as a substring. CONDITION (Substring((Entered chat string), 1, 5)) Equal to give- (Integer((Substring((Entered Chat String), 6, 6))))Less than or equal o 8 (Integer((Substring((Entered Chat String), 7, 9))))Less than 1000 ACTION Set properties.. Blah blah blah blah... I think I could help you out with the chat strings bud. :ggani: |

I can do stuff like that if it's possible! If it's not possible, then of course I can't do it. Anyway, EF, it would be somewhat complex because in that case, the numbers can't exeed a limit... And... If you type -tint 5 33 40 %%% And then you can also at the same time typ -tint 344 50 220 %%% You know, that would make this next-to impossible. Because you either enter numbers of 1, 2 or 3. You can't enter different numbers, if you enter 3 numbers all over, you can't use the same trigger to have 2 numbers all over. You with me? What we can do is to have two different commands that would, one for numbers of 2, and one for numbers of 3. Hope you got that. Anyway, I can do anything that you'd like that is possible. Just hand me the map and I'll implent it. Regards |

i think it would make more sense to have it do them seperately, like "-blue 105" "-red 255" "-green 000" and "-trans 098" just because the game crashes (with the trigger in the other thread) if you fail to set up all of the values correctly. otherwise i'd make it simpler and have each one use a value of 0-9 with 9 being 100% or 255 and 0 being 0... anyways i'll let the experts decide what they're doin. |

I know you probably didn't needthe give gold command but I used it for a basis... And It's not a very long command indead. Maybe a round total of 9 lines.. minus the obvious Player 1, Player 2, Player 3 types a chat string.. Blah blah blah... It's all on the basics of that system. If a user types in SFX It reads the next 2 code numbers SFX 88 And finds the array item with sfx # 88 in it.. And applies it to the currently selected unit... 8) :ggani: |

Actually, EF, you are wrong. You can set the like that. And he's right, since the game crashes, maybe we should do that? I just got the best idea and I think it would work wonders... Do you want me to try it? Just as leppy said, it would fix the crashes. When I'm done debugging my map I'll try it. |

lol, you could have an intiger var to store the red of every unit, one fro blue, one for yellow, one for trans, andnd every unti to it, remove em. thta would be an outrsagus job to do, but it is possible. |
