Well, I keep gettin' mixed signals from people that I ask about the patch. Some say you can edit still and some say not. So what's the deal REALLY? Before I even THINK about gettin' this patch I wanna know.... I mean if it destroys the spell editing universe as we know it, well... I can hang out till TFT comes along to get on bnet again. :P |

You CAN still edit spells. I've been doing it after getting the 1.06 patch. I use the newest spell editor... can't remember the name. |

Redscull's maybe? And lemme ask ya this. Did you haveta start over with new extracted files from the mpq? Or did everything still work okay, with the old txts and slk AFTER you got the patch? |

I use Redsculls. Everything works, in the MPQ and all. I think it was only the unit editing by slk that was ruined. Spell editing is completely normal. |

Only problem is the latest spell balances they did will not affect any spell edited spells from before v1.06, so if you are making a map with units that have spells they have rebalanced you may need to go into the .slk file and make the balance changes yourself. That is only if you want the changes in your map though. Fiery_Maelstrom |
