my prob is when i go to save in excel i cant save as a .slk file only ask like .txt .wls and other word type document/spread sheet extensions

I haven't ever heard something like that. Which version of Excel do you use?
If Excel makes a message telling you that you might lose data if you save as SLK, then don't worry about it, just save it. It works.
