Guest | This time, I stickied it. If it is going to disappear again, the one responsible for that will get a mayor whoopass! ScnNET WC3 Contest! Heya guys. After getting more info from ScnNET forums as well as other WC3 Map Making forums, here`s what we have so far: NAME: WC3 ONLINE ADVENTURES SCN CONTEST. SCN TYPE: Multiplayer RPG Scenario THEME: Free. DATE: August 1st - September 20th PRIZES: 1st place - Game of the choice 2nd place - Game of the choice 3rd place - Game of the choice (yeah, need to think of some way to get these prizes things right:p) SUPPORT: We got most of the major WC sites agree to provide this with publicity in their news, some may even put a contest logo on their main page. And currently preparing for dialogues with other network and PC gaming magazines. JUDGES: Some ScnNET falks with WC3 and lotsa time on their hands RULEZ: 1-Contest submissions must be a multiplayer RPG SCNs for 2-6 players. 2-Scenario must be somewhat be playable in singleplayer 3-RPG elements, camera, controls are for designers imagination to decide on. 4-RPG can be set in any universe -doesn`t have to be WC3 world. 5-Use of ANY editing tools is allowed as long as SCN works properly on B-Net 6-Use of Music and Voices are allowed, as long as SCN is under 4 MB and is "OK"ed by B-NET. 7-WC3Punk Staff can not participate in the contest, but can sign up for judging. 8-Team entries are allowed (but hand saw for sawing the winning prize into 4 pieces is not included with the prize pack) 9-Multipler entries are allowed Now...none of this is set in stone, so if u got ideas/suggestions/beef with the rulez or just need a post to spam in, go right ahead! We gonna have the contest page with final info(after including ur suggestions) next Monday. little update, I got from comments from WC3Net forums: Now a little update, to the rulez, based upon some comments from WC3Net forums. ----------------- Rule # uhh...12: You can NOT release your entry until the closing of the contest submission period. After that as soon as all the entries are in, you can go ahead and publish your map wherever. But u can go ahead and play on B-NET at any time though. As for Beta versions, sure u can send it in, but we`ll assume that it`s a finished polished product, so u will loose points there. And to determine If this is RPG or not, (still not sure how)...I think it`ll be like: 1-No direct BnD elements (no base and stuff) 2-Main Concept: Go around, kill stuff, get experience 3-Must have some sorta quest(not mindlessly walking around and killing stuff) 4-Storyline So what are you guys waiting for? I think I'll enter the map I'm working on, it should be complete by then. I like the contest. Also, I'll advertise (although my site isnt launched or popular yet) it on my site, so what do I put? |

Guest | Heya Guys a little update, we ARE opening this contest with all the info, details and submission forms on next Monday. >>Nostra, our defenition of RPG is not set in stone, but, the map must be a multiplayer adventure map, which usualy means it`s n RPG map. |
