Is there anyway possible to create/modify spells to have 5 levels? Also, instead of calling it Level 1-5, is it possible to call it stuff like Experienced, Advanced, Master, etc.? |

Actually you can. First of all you need 2 spells, #1 that has the first 3 levels and #2 that has level 4 & 5. Then create a trigger that removes the #1 spell when the hero trains in level 4. Only problem is at the skill selection menu you will see the #2 spell unless you disable it until a certain time. Or maybe even replace the hero with triggers when he trains in level 3 of #1. I have never tried this but i t should work. |

Replacing the hero would work wonders. You need two spells that do the same thing, though. It would be easy if it was trigger based. |

Problem is, my hero will have 8 different skills to choose from. I did this so that people can choose to either get a variety of skills, or to concentrate on 2 skills. They can have 2 lvl5 skills, or learn everything and have 2 lvl2 spells, or something in the middle. I have an idea to make a lot of the same hero with different combinations of the "basic" and "advanced" spell sets so that I can just replace the hero with the appropriate "combo" of spells. Shouldn't be hard, just complicated and time consuming. I'll try to get it into my map before I release my 2nd beta. |

acually there is a bit more realistic way to do it. instead of hero relpacement try spell replacement: make 2 spells levles 1 - 3 and 3 - 5 now make a trigger that when the hero learns spell levle 3 it disables that spell for that player and enables the second version. will not work if you have more than one of the same hero per force |

How do you give guys 8 skills? I understand how you can do 5, but 8? Thought you could only give a hero up to 5 skills in world editor. |

um... oh... I guess my hero is stuck with 5 skills. :( I'll try to get some screenshots of my map too. |

You can trick the World Editor by changing the # in the UnitMetaData, but it doesn't matter since the game doesn't allow over 5. |

Also, the disabling/enabling spells I'm reasonably sure won't work because even if they're disabled the game still considers them "positioned" so you'll run into the old problem of skills having no button position left to go... :P |
