I have a friend that is making a mod (and no its not me). Theres one thing that he needs though, and his "battle.net" forums simply reply "Impossible", with only 1 word....So I thought Id take it on over to you guys, considering you all know everything and are the best map makers/modders in the universe. I dont know how to take off the interface, the character picture, minimap, spell selector, gold, wood, all that stuff.. It needs to just be the screen, and the units. Turning on Cinimatic mode doesnt achieve what he needs done either....So if you know how to do this...Ill just give him a link to this page, and hopefully help the poor guy out. Thanks dudes. :D |

Won't happen. It's hardcoded. If he can go in to blizzard hardcode, then sure. But I am 99.99% sure your "friend" can't. So sadly, it still is impossible. |

I dunno man, it could be possible. If there was a way to give user control while on cinimatic mode, im sure that would be good enough. Even though thats probably hardcoded too. :( |

You can enable/diable control... Look under cinematics triggers in UMSWE |

Im talking about how if you enable cinimatic mode, the interface goes away, but you lose user control. You cant use the mouse and so on. So would enabling control stack with cinimatic mode? |

if hes making a mod then he can play around with the *.fdf files. They control all the menus look. I think u can hide a menu by simple changing values in those files. |

you can only remove the whole interface for the duration of the map by alphaing out all the blp images you will use and the ones in UI... but there is no way to remove the interphase only for a period of time during the map. |

I don't think the fdf files or the blps that control the user interface are implantable in a multiplayer map. If this is a single player map, it's possible with either of the two ways mentioned above, I think, though blp alpha-ing is a ton of work, and fdf editing has a fairly steep learning curve. |
