Help! New spells not working in game.

I'm just learning how to edit spells and abilities, and I can almost get them to work, but not quite.

I've extracted the ability-related files from War3.mpq, edited them, and put them in a Units subdirectory. W.E. can read them fine, and I can assign the abilities to my units. I then used my extractor program to insert the needed files into my map. When I run it, however, the abilities just don't show up at all. Any help would be appreciated!

I've attached the map. Right now, it looks something like this: Player 1 starts on the bottom, and he starts with a Rifleman and a Fire Mage (a custom unit). I tried to add a new Fire Shield ability to the Fire Mage (right now, it's still identical to the Demon Hunter Immolation), but I haven't gotten it to work. To see if perhaps my problems stemmed from converting from hero ability to unit ability, I tried just giving the Rifleman a copy of the Wisp Gather ability (renamed the Funky Monkey Dance), just to see if it'd work. That hasn't worked either, so I'm not sure what the deal is.

A final point of interest is that I'm using mac OS X, in case that makes a difference. The extractor I found seems to work fine, though, and I think I have all the tools I need.

You simply réinjected the files in your map without their dedicated folder.

They should also be in a folder called "Units\" inside your map.

I have never tried any MPQ utiity for mac, but if its as smart as WinMPQ, it would allow you to rename them by just adding "Units\" in front of every injected file name.
