i got some problems with upgrading a tower, i want it like from a normal guard tower ---> ice tower ---> ice tower with critical. i got no problem building individual tower, the abilities are still there. But when i make them upgradable, then problem arise. if from guard tower i upgrade to ice tower, my ice tower will not have the freezing effect, and when i upgrade from ice to ice critical, they will only have the freezing effect but no critical, how to make the tower after upgraded will have the abilities it suppose to have and not the previous tower? infact i try to make poison tower ---> ice tower, it still have the poison effect and not ice effect after upgrade. all the abilities are put in the unit editor and if build them individual ( not upgrade from another tower) the abililities will be there. Another question is how to make a poison damage with missile splash? I put slow poison in abilities and missile splash, it only does a splash damage on the creeps but no slow poison effect. what is the best way to make towers shoot out lighting bolt instead of lightning ball? Some of the towers i make got the lightning bolt attack but some just use lightning ball. Is there any things to determine what it shoots out? |

Guest | Well quite simply if you have not tried it yet... on unit editor edit the tower u upgrade to have that ability u want . in step by step terms: 1)goto the tower that gets upgraded 2) goto abilitys and select the same ability for it to have 3) if you havent tried that .......BANG |

HEZZA : Sorry to disppoint you, but this won't work. This bug is a very commonly knowned upgrade bug, it doesn't upgrade abilities/buttons. Nico : The easiest way to fix that issue is to replace every just upgraded tower by a tower of the same type. It will fix the abilities issues. This said, i just came up with a much smarter method that i plan to implement in the next version of my map to avoid any (even if hardly noticeable) flick. I am still in the process of experimentation with this method, thus i won't explain it here, but as soon as i will be certain it can be safely used, i will post it in the trigger/utility repository. For the poison thing I think you need to do some skill editing. |

thks ChrydGod, i thought of replacing them too but hoping there is a better way to solve this bug. Infact i use the replace method for my town hall cause i don't want my level 4 town hall still having the lv 1 stuff, but for towers there is a lot more work. and Hezza we are not talking about putting the abilities in the upgraded tower to make it work, what my problem or the bug is that even u put the abilities in it doesn't work, only way is to build them as individual and not upgrade from another tower. |

... "A unit finished upgrading" "Replace Last Upgraded unit with Unit-Type of last upgraded unit" And there's your answer. ONE trigger, does all the work. |
