Best main-character unit for an RPG?

I'd probably say blademaster, but i think they are sort of overused, so i like maps that have more unique heros...

what do you think?

A Gyrocopter, rifleman, or maybe even a RIDERLESS HORSE. He coudl have some cool stuffs

A riderless, lost, horse, trying to find his way trough an evil world... Until he gets ridden, by an evil man... Until the man dies and you are on the run again...
Until you find an island where you live happily ever after...

when entering towns, you would have to fend off those creepy npc's which would try to ride you.

LOL... That wasn't exactly what I had in mind... But you would need to watch out for decieases (urgh my spelling), find food and refugee for the night, things like that... Avoid pouchers and hunters, avoid becoming food yourself.
And sometime in the game you run from some hunters, only to find more hunters, running around in circles before you realize you are stuck... That's when you get ridden by someone... Who later in the games dies, and you have to run, not to get killed yourself.

Something that hasn't been used before. There aren't many games with a troll as the main hero, they are always Paladins, or Mages or something.

yes trolls are very kewl too, so i wuz thinkin of using a troll headhunter as a main character, but some units are cool for a while, but you start to lose interest in them after a while (maybe it's just me, but i find that using the captain model keeps me interested in a game the longest, even though its not my favorite unit. i guess i just dont get bored of the captain for some reason :ggani: )

satyrs are also one of the coolest looking units IMO and they arent really ever used...

and i really would use that riderless horse idea (it's a good one :foot: ) but the story wouldnt work so well if the main character couldnt talk. (and NO, i'm not going to make it about a talking horse! :ggani: )

Make "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" Map. Of course, you'd have to watch the movie first, or just make your own mission/campaign/RPG.

haha a wisp campaign would be really cool actually... you could have sneaking missions (because you can't attack) and if worst comes to worst, you could explode (or just build the ancient :D)

for the rpg i'm doin right now, i'm pretty much thinkin the unit model is gonna be an ice troll warlord or a tauren, just cuz they r kewl. :gsmile: (he has to be some sort of tribal d00d, and smart enough to carry on a conversation with someone... aka not a horse or wisp)

...unless someone has some cool model they want me to use...

Skin the horse into a talking llama then, and you have to change the emperor back to human form from llama form, and the emperor is idiot that likes to dance, and you are teamed up with a fat guy.

By the way, where can I get a fat guy model??
