triggers not working on bnet...

i made a cool map but not all the triggers are working correctly on bnet if it lags things like that is there a way to fix this?

You prolly have too much stuff going on at once. Not muh you can do, except stop some stuff. Also, big maps obviously lag on b-net.

will somone take a look at it and see wat i can do to optimize its perfomance. I have myabe 15-20 events that use the every 2 min do action that might be it but i dont know how to create a trigger that can have the same effect. well if someone can take a look that be cool.

is it better to have every 5 mins do action or have it done like in 5 mins then a trig at 10 min and 15 min like that would that be better then every 5 mins as the event?

i got weather effects and sounds that is suppose to play over a couple areas but dont seem to work on bnet, but when i play alone it works.

trigger=

event= every 1 seconds

condition= if player slot 1-12 is has left game

action= remove player from leader board

is there a better way to do this?

You know if you want help with a map and you post it, you realy should remove the cheats first.....

....But we will give you the benifit of the doubt and help you out anyway. Made a few fixes for you.

All players now get loot from chests not just the host.

Condenced a boatload of triggers into just a few more efficiant ones. Left notes so you know what we did.

Changed your init trigger to start at 0.00 seconds. This is so it starts after players sync.

Turned off your weather effects....prob the cause of the lag. You can turn them back on to test. You should remove all those bird and fly doodads too. Made some other anti-lag sugguestions.

You are using normal wait commands. These dont work online. It devides the wait time by the number of players currently playing. We didnt alter these because TFT patch may fix this. To find how you can fix it now do a search for "wait bug" in this forum.

You should read the tutorial on Dialogs. You could realy use them for choosing your heroes.

You shouldnt stagger the teams like that. Put players 1-6 on one team and 7-12 on another. This way you can use for-loops to effect one team. Ie: For each intiger A 1 to 6 set player[intiger A] gold to 100.

We set your scoreboard to update when something dies. Its the only time it need updating.

If this is suposed to be on a mountain shouldnt there be more hills? Its kinda flat.

im going over the alter map right now and OMG you replace my 50 triggers on update kills to 1 ROFL

...Wow, you made my shiet look nice thx ;p, That also be cool to do dialgue box for selection but I look at the engine and I tried to work one time and had a headache for 2 days so no dialogue lol.

And no I wasn't trying to make cheats cant believe i didnt see that in the trigger so only reds get treasure lol

Knocked out a ton in anti camp too. could have done a lot more reworking but already spent a hour on it. Gave you enough to look at and make a big improvement in your triggering. Learn how to use for-loops and if-then statements. They will be a huge help. And read the tut on scoreboards. Hell, read all the trigger tuts.

You made a large effort with this map and you made triggers that work. Even if they arnt all that efficant. Thats a better start than most ppl have. Better than our first attempt. ;) If your willing to spend the time and effort doing what you did to that map you got what it takes to be a great map maker.

We know this beacuse we put the same kind of effort into our maps. Because of that our second attempt whas quite a success. Keep at it and you'll get there.

8) Get that advanced editor....u need it.

Edit: Dont mess with the dialog engine. Thats for massive dialogs - 12 button kind. All you need is a normal one. There is another tutorial on basic dialogs. Read that one. No check is needed. We saw the effort and solid logic you put into the map. All you lack is experiance. We have no problem helping you out. We expect someday you will make a map we like playing. That will be reward enough.

lol 50 triggers.... and that was for a leaderboard... (no wonder why theese maps are so big)

No Limits = External program so you can save over the limit for doodads and units
