3d imported sound doesnt play

can you import a sound and use it as a 3d sound?

i imported this one sound and it worked fine... then i changed it to a 3d sound, set it's position with a trigger.. and now i dont hear anything when it's supposed to play.. any ideas?

Check that other thread. Perhaps it got removed when you used the Test Map button.

Tip: You can select what sort of sound a wav is in the Sound Module. Double click it and there are several modifications you can change.

still doesnt work even when i save the map then load it as a custom game after loading war3... it does work however if i have not made it a "3d sound". I have a trigger that attaches it to a unit then plays it a few seconds later. I've used 3d sounds before and they have worked fine... but those were all internal sounds that i was using. It's just when i import them from outside the game that it doesnt work.

Can you play the sound in the Sound Editor and hear it? Check the format of the wav as well (Bit-type, mono or stereo, etc).

yes, i can play it in the editor.

what format does it need to be??
