Guest | Well, I wondered whether it would be possible to change the spells or create new ones. Because many spells have some requirements. Thus when I create a new unit with an ability that requires a certain technology I have to give this technology to the player by default. There are also other situations for example when you want a unit to give a spell that belongs to an item there is no cooldown time. Or if I want to summon other creatures than wolfves/pigs without using a trigger. So is there any way to modify the spells or create new ones? I don't even want to create new effects but just modify the cooldown time etc. I couldn't figure this out, I also tried searching the forum but it seems this no one asked this question yet, so sorry if it has been discussed before. |

Guest | To my knowledge, there is no way to edit or create spells. |

its possible and some have done it already...it just takes immense knowledge and a little luck with the files in the mpqs. |

Guest | I'm looking into how to edit spells.. or create new ones... specifically editing the actual mpq files. As stated above, some have already done this. However this is not possible via the basic editor. However to summon other units than pigs/wolves, you could just modify the models for the summoned pigs/wolves by going into the unit editor module. It would then be as if you are summoning whatever you have changed the model to. Using newer editors you are also able to edit the unit sounds i.e. attack sounds, what it sounds like when it dies, what you hear when it takes damage, and its basic unit sound. For example, you could make a peon sound exactly like a peasant. Look in the downloads section for info there. |
