TFT Trigger Editor - "Easy Use"

Man this thing is just too annoying it's pissing me off!
In war 3 classic, when you clicked on a trigger, you saw the event/condition/actions, great great. In TFT, you see nothing. You see the name of the event only. Double click on that name, and you can see event/condition/action. But you STILL cant see what your events, conditions and actions are. Nooo, you have to click the + in front of all 3 of them. And it does this every single trigger every single time.

I dont want to click 5 times to view my triggers! Frustration!

That would actualy be a nice feature if you could turn it on and off. Some of us write realy long triggers and its nice to take out some of the stuff your not looking for at the time. But if you cant shut it off that will suck.

Make sure there isnt some setting somewhere that turns it off.

Oh thats the beauty of it it cant be turned off. I checked EVERYTHING, its not there, we're stuck with a feature that's going to irritate us for months.

Wtf? Why would they add something stupid like that? If I wanted to look at the name, I would just look at the left side where all the names are listed. I hope that can be changed.

oh well, its very small, ur Edited because: brainp. adapts to it quickly and all those other good features far outweigh the 2 or 3 extra clicks

... You have, 1, no idea of what you're talking about...
2. Apearently no experience...

The point:
You have to, when going trough your triggers, click open them every single time...
"Oh I wait a sec, was that right, click click click"
Not just click, then you have to click click click click to get back to work... It would just... Omg... It's moronic.

How do you know it's not just something that's bugged because you got some "hacked" up version off the net?

Little things like that can happen when you get versions like that off the net. I wouldn't be too awfully worried about it until you actually see the cd-based version.

Even if.. In about.. 2 or 3 weeks.. You'll get used to it. I think the main reason behind an idea like that would be speed... Albeit.. It might be annoying at times...

It definetly doesn't matter when compared to the fact that unit editting is faster now and the whole slew of new features are added in as well.

*-EDIT-* Also.. I bet this was placed in there because of that error some people were having with the triggers resetting themselves or deleting themselves when they went to save it.. Don't know if any of you have had this problem but I have... I usually have to close all my trigger sna dnot have one selected before saving it.. And this can save loads of time for me.

i've been using it for a few days now, its definately much faster than the old version with the ifs and loops

a few extra clicks does not hurt anything, since its ur map u should know where ur looking, and it should be commented/named nicely enough that if u lose track u should be able to go back to where u need to with just a little reading

i'm already quite used to it, i just goto a trigger and instinctively double click on what i need opened (usually just actions)

i'm definately with playamarz on this one

Although I would like to see an option to turn this off, you guys are WAY overreacting.

First off, you don't have to open it up every single time -- if you open a trigger up, it STAYS open until you close the map and load it up again. Which means that you only have to do it ONCE for each trigger when you load yer map, and only on those triggers you're working on. Not a gazillion times.

P.S. I'll look for a way to turn this off. The editor has alot more preferences than before (like being able to specify a hotkey for convert to custom text!)

Edit: Also, adding a new event automatically expands events, same for conditions/actions

Oh yeah sure, the group that uploaded it decided to reverse engineer it first and add a feature that collapses triggers, before theyd recompile it and release it. Brilliant idea.
