I'm looking for a team to help me make a cinematic. The thing is, I'm not really good at anything except for storywriting and directing. If anyone is interested, I'm looking for terrainer(s), Camera worker(s), Trigger worker(s), people who are good at special effects, etc. Later on, if all goes well I might also need skinners, and voice actors. If you are interested please send me a map that shows off your skills and I will choose which of you to join. I will also send you a detailed storyline. I'm looking for people who actually enjoy doing what they do best and will stick to the project at least most of the way through (heh heh). I have a great story read by many of my friends who all agree would make quite a good cinematic map. If you want to know the story first pm me and I will send it to you. Thanks. [email protected] |

Hmm, could you please post a bit of the storyline here? I think you'll get more replies if people see you story first :D As for me: I'm sorry, but I probably won't be working on someone else's work now! I want to start some projects of my own (at last!)! But I'll be sure to watch this thread 8) ~ Nuladion |

All right I'll post a brief storyline of the first part here. I plan on making a trilogy, but if the first doesn't go too well then I probably won't continue. This project has nothing to do with warcraft at all. There are elves, orcs, undead, and humans but they are NOT connected to warcraft in any way. Part 1: The elves and humans hate each other because they are the two main races of the world and are continually battling for resources. The elves while looking for new gold mines stumble upon an unkown hostile race, the orcs. They manage to tame them but there was a consiquence; the orcs are highly sensitive so if they see fighting or anger they become agitated and vicious. All the while the humans were planning an attack on the elf capitol city for resources. When they attacked they pretty much slaughtered every elf except for one tribe who got away. The orcs who were still in captivity of the elves saw the fighting and attacked anyone they saw and kidnapped the human king's son and ran off. Half the orcs decided that they should raise the human and learn from him. The other half thought that was wrong so they split up in anger. When the kid grew up he learned of his fathers brutality and anger for all living things so he assembled an orcish army to invade his castle. In the end the king is killed by his son and since he is the heir by birth, he becomes king and establishes an alliance with the orcs. That's all that's going to be in part 1. The tribe of runaway elves and the band of angered orcs will play important roles in part 2. The story gets much much deeper then. I know this story has quite a few cliches, but it's a fixer-upper. Please give me some constructive critism, comments etc. and if you want to join then just pm or email me with what your best at or what you want to work as and I'll see what I can do. Thanks. |

That sounds nice, but a bit too much for 1 part! I'd advise you make it two parts which will each last ~20 minutes... that'll give you enough time to explain everything (the human-elf relation, the battles, the 'discovery' of the orcs, the giant slaughter at the capital, the kidnapping and raise of the prince, and finally the massive take-over by this prince and his orc army)! Good luck with it! :D ~ Nuladion |

Yes, when I say 'Part 1' I mean it's the first entire cinematic in the trilogy. It's definately going to be more than one map, for sure. |

ROFL I posted this so long ago! I've forgotten all about it! well anyways, I've sorta trashed the idea of doing it as a cinematic, so its gonna be a campaign now. But im not gonna work on it until The Battle for Azeroth is completed. (which may be a while) I've named this project Brutal Spirits (it makes more sense with the second and third episodes.) and it will feature things like capturing enemy buildings, automated scouts (ur units will scout the map automatically), animal breeding/mounting and unmounting, taming wild beasts, and going through time spaces (when you've played a certain amount of time, you can advance to the next age example: stone age -> medieval age) etc. but again, im not even starting yet until my other project is complete so yea, im not actually doing this cinematic any more, sorry |
