![]() Lavarinth and I proudly unveil our first project together, The Tavern. ![]() Everyone is waiting to get in The Tavern First of all a little history lesson. In the days of SC, way back, there were some campaigns going on that never got finished, we know cause we are both guilty. I had a few, never really got done for various reasons. I started to like voice acting more and composing a lot more. So I sort of converted to musician instead of campaign creator. Lavarinth at the same time was working on Return to A Race, wich was only recently cancelled. I helped him a bit on Return to A Race's music, wich I suck at majorly. Thus the combination was born. We waited until now to actually do something together. We write the story together, while Lavarinth creates the maps, and voice acts. While I compose a custom score, voice act, and edit the voices. In this we will be backed up by ArchAngel, another old time Blizzard veteran. He is our script reviewer and a voice actor. Magic and Alyx from SAVAGE also lend their voice to our production. Thus ends the history lesson, on to some more interesting things. What is The Tavern? The Tavern is our project, not a mod, and not really a campaign. It is more like a TV series, every episode carries a full story, all set on one map, and in the background there is a red-line, wich will, in the end, really stand out. Our story is set in the Warcraft world. It is there that we join 3 simple men that are about to do great things. Varon Harad (Maglok), Morris Silverbeard(Lavarinth), and Alex Anton(Maglok), are all just simple people. A guard from the cityguard, a rifleman from the cityguard as well, and a peasant working the local lumber industry. What do all these people have in common? They own a tavern, not just any tavern, but The Tavern, or at least that is the name of the place. They don't own much from it. They don't even work there, Ben(Magic) and Violette(Alyx) do, but it is a place to call home. Varon Harad is our typical footman, proud to be in the military, but complaining cause of the lousy pay, and the hard drills from Sir Galahan(ArchAngel). Alex Anton works the lumber industry and can't do anything but complain about it. Morris Silverbeard is a dwarf who is just in love with his XD-16 full automatic rifle. They all live in a lovely little town... But strange things are about to happen. An explanation of the countdown: The first number was off course the day count. The second would be the number of doodads on our first map, Lavarinth hates that number now. J Then we have the music count in minutes for now, so there has already been 8:44 minutes of music composed. Now that we are on that, most voices are also done. The Tavern Features - An evolving story with lots of sub stories each episode. - A 1 map release package every time an episode is finished. - A full custom score, wich spans over 15 min per episode. - Fully voiced - Definatly a 56K killer Here are some goodies to keep you all occupied (some are also from the countdown) Here is some music sampled at 192kb/sec by me, from Episode 1: A Tavern Worth the Risk Field of Battle - http://www.gameproc.com/MM/x/Tavern_Field_...d_of_Battle.mp3 Inside the Tavern - http://www.gameproc.com/MM/x/Tavern_Inside...vern(Crowd).mp3 End Titles - http://www.gameproc.com/MM/x/Tavern_End_Titles.mp3 Here are some voices from episode 1: A Tavern Worth the Risk Varon Harad(Maglok) – http://www.gameproc.com/MM/x/Varon.mp3 Alex Anton(Maglok) – http://www.gameproc.com/MM/x/Alex.mp3 Violette(Alyx) – http://www.gameproc.com/MM/x/Violette.mp3 Ben (Magic)– http://www.gameproc.com/MM/x/Ben.mp3 Here are some screenshots from Episode 1: A Tavern Worth the Risk, by Lavarinth http://www.gameproc.com/MM/x/Screen1.jpg http://www.gameproc.com/MM/x/Screen2.jpg http://www.gameproc.com/MM/x/Screen3.jpg |

This sounds intresting. If you need any trigger help, you know where to find me ;). I was thinking about starting a series myself... But I just had no basic story line... I wish for the best for you in the future. Regards Dead-Inside |
