After getting REALLY upset about 1.10 patch RUINING my 7 weeks RPG map project ... i'm thinking of starting a cinematic to get over this ... I have seen almost every cinematic posted in wc3campaigns forums and i thought ... why not ... What i need so i can start is to see the units animation (thats all units animations) so i know what i have to work with. In the WE the default unit animation is stand... but where can i see the rest for the units ? This is the same kind of problem i had when wanted to attach special effects to units and needed the units parts ... since mantioning it ... here is the list for those who are still looking for it ... overhead (floats over the unit's head, but doesn't sway with the head as it animates) head (sways with the unit's animation) chest origin (usually at the base of a unit's feet) hand foot weapon (for heroes) sprite (for buildings) medium (for buildings) large (for buildings) Attachment Point Modifiers: left right mount (for mounted units) rear (for quadrupeds) first (for buildings) second (for buildings) third (for buildings) fourth (for buildings) fifth (for buildings) sixth (for buildings) rallypoint (for buildings) Can anyone help me with the units animation list (if any) or make a small one like the one above with the main unit animations ? TIA |

Well, i think you can see, in the side left bar of WE, a mini pic of the unit. Above it, you can browse for different variations of it (if it´s a doodad), and browse for it´s animations, at least u could in UMSWE. EDIT: O, BTW, i think they have found a cure for that cancer called 1.10. Check the mapping forum, i think you´ll find it there... |

Another "O", i dont think UMSWE is working with the new patch, but i checked and the animation browser was in the regular WE too. :D |

The box is in the middle but in some cases you'll have to resize it in order to read to entire animation title. That happened to me during the making of my first map. After that just push the little back and forward buttons and choose your animation, stick it in a trigger and you're on your way. My UMSWE didn't even work the second time round, I've heard nothing but bad things about this patch so I think I'm gonna wait a little while. |
