I'm really not sure how you import/export files from a TFTWE map. The map file doesn't show the raceabilityfunc/raceabilitydata txts, which I need to export if I want to say, change the art of some spells, or alter some data in ways the Object editor won't let me. (Example: I can't set # of dead raised for animate dead to 0 so it could be a dummy spell, or summoned unit type equal to none) Also, skins I import (either through winMPQ or the import manager) don't show up in game. Though these concerns were iterated before (I think), I haven't found any clear answers. A good help file/faq would be nice (there's already one stickied, but its been mostly Qs then As for the past few days) So yeah, I dunno how to import/export skins and ability files. (It just seems wholly different from what I was used to in RoC) |

If I understand what you're asking correctly, you want to know how to change the path? There's an import editor in worldedit, if you can't find it, look a little harder. (Import Manager - press F12) As far as changing the path goes, there is a way, let me open up worldedit real quick... Ah there we go. Well, once you import a file, right click on it and go to modify file properties and check use custom path... change it to what you want, and voila. |

Ah, that helps for custom skins. Thanks. But what I also want to know how to export the custom spells you create in the object editor, because some have certain bits of art or data you can't change in the object editor. (i.e. Animate Dead can't equal 0, Forked Lightning's bolts, Roar's bear claw thingy, etc. can't be removed in the object editor, that sort of stuff). |
