Hmmm, changed the color in armor plates & beard, anything else? It´s ok still for a second, but you REALLY should take an attempt at making details, then get better at it. :D |

Add some more detailing, like highlits in the beard, shiny armor... And please don't bump threads. Replies come with the time. |

Try doing someting other than recoloring, I've seen drab skins with new stuff on them get rave reviews. Many people just ignore recolors. |

Tip: When making "black" objects, start with a dark grey, instead. Otherwise, you're left with a very, very dark object with no tone to go to for darkening. After all, black is the definition of dark. Speaking of shading, this could use some. Just think of where the light source is and shade accordingly. Most the time, it'll simply be the light coming down from above (the sun). Depending on which image editing program you use, you should become familiar with the extra tools and filters at your disposal to make blending smoother, shading better, and just your life in general easier when skinning. http://www.planetquake.com/skindom/tutorials/ is useful for learning shading techniques, you might want to visit there. |
