I was bored so i decided to skin a headhunter, I alphaed out his tusks, changed his skin tone, changed his pants, changed his hair, got rid of that strap on his back and front, and changed the spear so it looks better when hes meelee |

well the skin tone is a recolor, but i had to remake his muscles and stuff cuz the strap covered like 1/4 of his back and front |

such as me ^_^ ok so the recoloring is recoloring but i don't give a shit about this "honor" in free hadn bull and this "recoloring is bad! die you pagan!" I think you did a fine job removing the strap and reconstructing the muscle area cause i can't tell there was a strap there. the pants though... maybe that neon blue is a little much? your call but that coloring gripes me... :bgrun: could we see another angled shot of the spear? |

Okay, this drives me nuts. What is WITH you people that rate things 10/10? Or even WORSE, things like 11/10? Do you not understand how a rating system works? 10/10 is perfection, unbeatble, absolute excellence, a masterpiece guided by the HAND OF GOD HIMSELF. 11/10? How can you have BETTER than perfection?! That's IMPOSSIBLE! ARG! Okay, now that my rant's over and done with, the skin looks pretty nice, even though it is a recolor. Try adding more details to make it more interesting/original. Maybe a mask, or tattoos, or.. um.. scars, or something. I dunno. |

Nice skin, just the pants that look too much like satin are too much saturated. You could remove some saturation from it using Sponge tool, and leave it less highlighted. Take a look at this link it's good to see how cothing materials work. http://www.planetquake.com/polycount...th/part3.shtml |

~~~UPDATE~~~ thnx wolf, thatl help me out l8r with other skins and stuff :D thnx for comments guys, i sponged up the pants a lil bit, added some cuts on him (shoulder, abs, and bicep, u cant see the bicep one tho lol) ill prolly add some more cuts and stuff as i work on it more. i added a little thing on his chin ( it sucks because i cant do any thing half faced because its one of those skins that only shows half the face so itl just copy the face over) anyway, i tried to alpha out the thing on his back cuz i tink ima make him a melee but i realized that the staff is the pack on his back, and the red things are the spears, so ill have to eventually get that modelled out. so, updated, comments critasism is appreciated :ggani: |
A lot better now. The problem with it was that it was a mixture of both realistic "detailed" and cartoonish clean and saturated. Now it fits better. You you could add some kind of slight texture to the pants it would be nice, to make it more realistic like. Also make the face fit better the body coloring/brightness. |
Aye, it's looking better now. Keep it up and you'll have a pretty good skin when it's done. |
