spell help

i am trying to create a spell hen cast shoots a projectile which acts like carrion swar or shock wave and once it reches its maximum it creates 6 more pojectlies like it which go on difrrent directions

Hmm, I haven't tested this yet but you may be able to use Rain of Chaos to cast Carrion Swarm...of course then you'd have to make it to remove the current Carrion Swarm ability and replace it with the Ultimate Carrion Swarm (which is based off Rain of Chaos). So that would a bit more work, but...*shrug* I'll test to see if you can even do a multi-shot style Carrion Swarm though before I rattle on and on about it.

Prehaps creating a Fully Transperant unit and putting Carrion Swarm on it as its graphic and when you cast it, it creates a the unit and sends it flying the direction.

For the multi shot. Probably after the Transperant unit is removed destroyed whatever, when it dies make it create however many more of the transparent but smaller and make them go off random directions.

well its not quite carrion swarm but almost as close, its supposed to a spell which throws a rock and after X distance the rock explodes into 8 shards. i just got an idea which might work, but i have a small question first, is there a way to find a units rotation? because if there is i could use that and the range of my spell to caclulate where is exploded and then go on from there, probably create a invisibale caster unit at that point or something
