i thought my mini guide was decent... But lets make it more organized Camera Work There are 2 reasons I say LT one cuz everyone knows it and 2 cuz its got the best looking middle. For a simple "cool effect" you should have 3 cameras. Camera 1-The restore camera Your first camera should be your restore camera this is the most important camera of the all. Just turn on the fix to game camera option in view, and then make this one anywhere you like. (You can turn off the fix to game camera now.) Name this camera "Restore camera" and don't edit any of its stats. Camera 2-The zoom camera Ussually you'll want to have something zoomed in on. For simplicity sake I say the foutain of live cuz its right dab in the middle. Create a new camera facing it. Now right click on it and edit camera properties. Hit the preview values in main screen check box. Edit the angle of attack (aoa) to bring it to nice and level with the floor. Bring the field of view2 option closer to zero until basicly all you can see is the foutain of life. Name this camera "zoom camera" Camera 3-The screwy effect camera Basicly this cameras whole purpose is to make the transition between the normal camera to the zoom camera seem niftier. a high angle of attack odd rotatation and absurd roll values all help in this one. Name it "effects camera" Trigger Work This is where it gets tricky so pay attetion. In your initilazation triggers add the action cinematic-disable user control. Now look for the player group action that says "pick every player in player group and do action ". Make the player group all players. and the camera-apply effects camera for picked players (it is one of the functions) for x amount of time. I feel that 8 seconds is a good amount of time. Turn on cinema mode now Create a new trigger "Camera Fun" The event to luanch this trigger is time-elapsed= 8.5 seconds. copy the last camera one and paste it here. Change the camera to zoom camera. You probably wanna have dialogue here so if thats the case use cinematics-send transmission. Create a final trigger "restore all" event=time used in all waits and cameras +.5 seconds. apply restore camera. Restore player control. Turn off cinema mode. Now use Camera-Pan camera for player x to player x's start location. Do that for each player. Your final product should be now ready for test maping. It should be very fun your first time getting all the crazy triggers to work correctly. Check which triggers work check which ones don't. |
