Ok, its come to CitizenSnip's and I's attention that it seems that we are currently having a problem with finishing mods. Now, if you are a part of a mod (even if it's not hosted here) please participate in this.

Edit: Make sure you read both this post and CitizenSnip's post. His contains some info mine doesnt.

Please post up information on how many team members you have, your goals for the campaign, and information on what you have done. Do it in this format please:

"Campaign Name"
1. Current Team Members. Name, job, and anything that you feel is important about that person.
2. What jobs you need to fill. Things like skinner, story person, modeller, and so on.
3. Your Campaign goals. What features you want and how long you expect the campaign to take.
4. What you have done, and how long it took you.

Thats it for now, it may be changed if needed. It is required that you apply to this if you are part of a project or are a project hoping to get hosted. No, this isnt the campaign needs thread, but it will be useful for getting your campaign some attention.

And please be truthful. We are trying to help you all, and if you give us fake info then we could have problems.

I'm just going to add my own thoughts to this, some is just reiterating what electromancer already said with some things added.

Hosted projects census:
We are conducting a census of various job positions held in the hosted projects and also some information about the goals and needs of the various projects. The thesis of this research project is that the current talent base for the hosted projects is spread too thin. This research is being conducted to verify the validity of this thesis and to quantify the severity of the problem if this is found to be true.
Please note this is only research, this information will not be used to judge your project for cancelation of your hosting. Other project members will not see this information so please be completely honest. This information will only be used for statistical purposes.
We would also like you to rate the skill level of your staff members on a scale of 1 to 10. Don't be concerned about giving them low marks either, this information will be kept confidential.

With this addition we will need the following information
  • The job you hold in your mod, if you perform more than one job please tell us your primary job.
  • The name and job of each staff member as well as your evaluation of their skill level.
  • Additional staff members you think you need in order for your project to be completed.
  • The goals of your project such as how many maps your campaign will contain and a brief description of what kind of maps they are, how many skins your project will have, how many models your project will have and what types they are(ie doodads, heros, units etc.), how many minutes/hours of custom voice overs and music that your campaign will have and how many custom spells your campaign will have. When compiling this information assume that your project will be finished with reasonable goals.
  • Of the goals listed tell us what has been completed. This information must be quantitative such as we have completed X number of skins of our goal of Y skins.
Again this information is being collected for statistical purposes and will not be used against you in any way. Also any member of a mod team can submit a report and we would encourage as many members of a mod team to give their own evaluation of the project. The project leader must at least send one report however.

Please send the reports through PM to either electromancer or myself.

I am the leader of Wrath of the Trolls Campaign...
I am many things for this campaign... oh and to clarify I am not expecting hosting, I doubt I even qualify... but I thought I would report in to let people WotT is not dead. (I still need to buy TFT, if I want to continue this strenuous work)


1. Current Team Members: i am almost certain all of my team has dispered on me, which is my fault cause i'm a terrible organizer. so me! ^_^

2. What jobs you need to fill: i could use a story advisor... and a modeller

3. Your Campaign goals: well i basically want a troll race... but i might have to settle for a full function campaign, though it is hard to have a campaign without having at least one mission where you have to build a base =/. I have no time frame for this, maybe sometime in December?

4. What you have done, and how long it took you: i have around 7-9 maps done... i am shooting for 12. i did them by myself, so it took a signifcant amount of time. from around december to june.


I am the leader, mapper, skinner, trigger guy, cinematic maker, and story writer =( and i feel overworked...

i am hoping to give it new units, basically reskinned trolls to save time so my modeller (if i ever get one) can focus on making buildings... which are badly needed!

this is about all I have to say... so yeah =/

Deleat this if you will, I am just a member of a team, but it would be nice to know the rating that you got as a team member, I have no idea what people think of my skill exept that I was ask to join...

For the record I am Cinimatics (what I was asked to join for) and a triggererd and the mod my team is making is Dark Revolution

The team member rating isn't used for anything that will effect the person being rated. Actually it's being treated statistically as an opinion, that's why we would like multiple reports. Also the rating isn't to judge the people in the team it's actually judging the mod teams, the people making the reports and the community as a whole once we analyze all of the data together. We want it because the rating numbers tell us much more about the bigger picture. These aren't being logged to any kind of official user rating so please don't be concerned about it at all.

1. Me (a.k.a. Draco)

2. No jobs to be filled.

3. I'm making a RPG/Campaign. That means it will go over mulitple levels but there will be NO base building and rescources etc..

4. Map 1 and 2 are finished. This project spans 7 playable maps, and as of now, I'm not 100% certain on the amount of cinematic (or interlude) maps. This is suppposed to be done around September or October; sooner if I'd stop making other maps and trying new things!!!

for Project Revolution. this project is quite a bit different than the rest in that one, its so large with so many people, and two, many of the people never come to this website at all. a few dont even speak english. also, there are a lot of people that just contributed a few things. i wont be listing them here.

Mr.Jig: Supposed to be doing the cinematic level but I think he left.

Jobs needed filling: Modeller(we need 1 model, I can make it but I can't seem to make it work ingame).

Goals: To have a fully playable BLANCED High Elf Race (not like Blizzard's. To have a troll race that the enemy computer plays as. To make a 8-map campaign(which is what all these races are for)

Progress:
We have been working on this since about January, we have the prologue, 1st level, 2nd level and 3rd level done. It has been slow progress, and we are on hold until someone works out how to sort out the patch issues and I get TFT (but thats tomorrow)

I am leader of quiet big team. The action is from Midleearth. Story start about 500 years after destroy of the Ring. The nations are very different and it is very interesting....
1. Team members: about 13. 3d grafics, 2d grafics, mappers, translator,...
2. I need 3d grafics, 2d grafics, mappers, sound and someone who can make new spells, skills,... /programators/. But if you think you can help me with anythink else, write me.
3. Use only completely new models of units /soldiers/ and buildings. It is about 100 models. Huge campaign with huge story. New type of multiplayer /quest missions/. New music, sounds. New HUB. A LOT OF WORK!!! I hope we will finish it in Q4 2003 or Q1 2004.
4. Before we can start with campaign we must do all models. We have done 12 models, story and unit list.

Final Fantasy: Dark Revolution

I am the project leader for this mod, I am skinning models that need to be skinned, and doing spell art editing, along with any other texture editing needed. I am also working on the website for this.

Goals: I'd like the single player mode to be an RPG. I don't want it to be a regular campaign, since we are redoing everything for the most part.


Progess: We have about 5 Models done, and a few Item models. We also have 3-4 Chapters of the story done. Theres also some Icons that are done, and the website is still in progress. Though we DO have (for the most part) the TBS system almost done, which was made by LrdSlothPaladin. It isn't much, it took us about.. 2 Months.

Rise of Nekrix Campaign.



Members:
1: Insaniteus - Story writter, triggerer, cinematics, skinner, voice actor, concept artist.
2: FireAarro - Modeller, programmer, graphic arts, spell editer.
3: Aftershock - Terrains
4: Xaran Alamas - Modeller
5: Kojiro - Modeller, skinner, spell editer.

Needed:
1: Animator. Either someone good enough to make their own unit animations, or at the very least transfer them from one unit to another.
2: Triggerer. I'm good and all, but it's always a good idea to have two of these. Besides, with my computer crap I might not be able to actually make any of the triggers myself.
3: Extra Skinners and modellers. Not really all that needed, but anyone who wants to help can.

Goals:
This place has had VERY few campaigns come out, and the few that HAVE I know I can surpass. Our goals are an innovative campaign full of new combat tricks, strategies, and options. For instance, we're not using the usual gather/build setup, instead extra troops must be made from your enemies, in a TRUE undead fashion. We're also putting in puzzles and major choices to rattle the brain. Last but DEFINATLY not least, we're using 6 total VERY in-depth characters of mine, esspecially the main three of Nekrix, Kalandornyo, and Mortuskull and the player will be engrossed by their dialogs and actions, feeling more connected to them then he ever did to Arthas or anyone else from ANY campaign.

Finished:
Since TFT just now came out we don't have much mapwork or anything else for that matter. We have a few skins and edited models already, and we've planned many of the unit abilities, although honestly a LOT will get tossed around and replaced with TFT stuff (obviously).

IMPORTANT NOTE: This campaign is in serious danger of being forced into being cancelled by my incessent computer errors. I've spent the last 3 months trying to get even ONE computer to run the WE and none will. Heck, my "best" one now won't even start it, claiming to not be able to find the CD, and the other two go nuts just from running War3, and the WE is twice as bad. If We can find another GOOD triggerer this can continue with me being more of a guide than a worker, and while I don't like the idea it sure as hell beats cancelling it.

1. Team members:

Me, who started this mod. I do mostly the modelling and animating I have also skinned most of the units and made the concept of the races. I've also plotted the story for the campaign and I have done some levels for it. I am also the one who compiles the work of all my staff member into a release.

Zanmato, who helped me starting this mod, father of the Troll Race, he has helped me discovering bugs and helped improving the mod. Latly he has also done some voice acting for the campaign.

Dtime35, who has been with me on the mod some time now. He's doing melee maps though he hasn't done much yet, but his tilesets seem promising.

Dre, who first started skinning some units but as it turned out he was better on balancing, so latly he has been the main balancer and unitdata guy of the TToR team and he has taken alot of work off my back.

Kiether, who is a skinner for the mod, done some nice skins, has also been a good idea guy along with Zanmato and helped out people on the forums.

Nailer, who is a very promising modeller, has currently only done the wood elf lumber mill but more models such as wood elf town hall models and wood elf ships is in the works. He is also an amazingly good drawer and makes good skins for his model.

ON, who has worked with me on many projects before, not only warcraft 3. He is currently helping me animating some models.

Ragingdemon, who is our not-that-new spell creator. Recantly after the release of TFT he has done alot of spells and is currently making new spells for all units in the entire mod.

Kojiori, (don't rember how it's spelled) recently wanted to join the team as a skinner. I have not given him a skinning job yet but i plan to in the near future.

Technetium, (don't rember how it's spelled) who has only recently been recruited. Is going to do the AI's of thge races and improve most of it.

2. Currently most of the jobs are filled, though it would be great with a jass programmer. Even though Darky26 is helping with spells here he doesn't have much time for it alone. Also I'm looking for more mapmakers to make some melee maps for the mod. Also someone to make the campaign would also be needed for it is much work with 4campaigns for me alone.

3. Our mod has been done many times, but we don't stop to improve it so in a way we can't say it's done before we reach the 4.0 version where we plan to have 8 races. Also the campaign itself is also a goal to finish though it will not be worked on untill the 3.2 version is released.

4. I started out with the New Race Mod as a map myself, with some help from Zanmato. The original new race mod only has one new race. The High Elves (know now as Wood Elves). Later I started adding the Demon race which later was renamed to chaos. Then with some more help from Zanmato we made the Troll race. And now the first internet release of the mod was done. Version 1.0. Then later after i discovered wc3campaigns and skinning i added another race, the Lizardmen. The map with them was released as the 1.3 version, later upgraded and bugfixed up to the 1.5 version which is the most known version of the New Race Mod there was more map versions following but i don't remeber much though i still have all the maps. Then at last i made the "Mod" version of New Race Mod, which i simply still called New Race Mod Full 1.0 which was almost only New Race Mod 1.5 with some custom music. Then after getting hosted by Wc3campaigns and skull I released the first version on the site: New Race Mod 2.0 which was later upgraded to New Race Mod 2.5 full and light. Then recruited Dtime35 and later Dre and started working on the 2.7 version which has it's own battle.net server. But it wasn't before New Race Mod 3.0 that we mde new models, more skinns, retweaked unitdata and all that that it became really popular. Not so long time ago the 3.2 beta was released and only recently the mod was renamed to The Tales of Raviganion. Currently we're working on the 3.22 beta version which we hope to release before the 8th of july, when i'm going on vacation. All this work on the mod has taken almost one year.

Objective to have the best cinematic. After seeing how other cinematics are done, i have finally decided to dedicate my time to give the community a beautiful and rich cinematic. At the moment i cannot say how long this will take as its a very ambitious project.
Another goal would be to get hosted here as team communicating would become a lot more public and show we are working and post updates.

4. What you have done, and how long it took you.

Well the story is still in alpha stages and is at about 90% completed. Other than that we have 4 skins ready to go. oh and i made 2 concepts already

2. We still need some help... We need a terrainer, a guy good with the units editor & would be nice to have a modeler to help me with all the unit and building models i have to make!



3. We want to make a new race mod featuring 2 totaly new races and 2 filled up FT races Naga and Dreanai + Pandaren and Nerubians. We might make a campaign after all the races are complete, it will be called The Union or The Alliance... i allready have a small story for it.

4. Few Dreanai buildings containing their Hut, Shop, Altar... started more... The Pandaren worker and Pandaren hut, Working on the Pandaren Lumbermill right now. All that took few days.

Advanced model designer (geoset editing); perhaps also an advanced trigger designer.

A Blizzard-style campaign set between Warcraft I and II, with all four races changed (Humans and Orcs heavily modified to fit Warcraft I/II, Night Elves replaced by High Elves, Undead replaced by Stygians). Has strong ties with SA Warcraft I TC.


4. What you have done, and how long it took you.


Many unit skins and models are completed (visit HoS site to take a look), story and campaign plot nearly finished, most of the maps are completed terrain-wise, very little trigger work. Started working on HoS in November, 2002, but the major part of work was done in the last few months.
