Hey! I'm working on my own single player campaign, and I'm really a newbie to mapmaking for War3, but I like doing terrains. But I've got one playable mission completed (terrain-wise) and now I'm working on a cinematic.

Here's a screeny of the cinematic, shown from WorldEdit.

... and here you can see what it looks like in-game. There's not much, really, that you can see from this screenshot. But what do you think so far? Is the terrain good enough, or do I have to change it or just simply forget the whole mapmaking? :D

Looks nice, and it's about the best that I personally could do, however like me you have a problem with flat terrain. Make some hills etc with the raise tool to lose the flat look.

It's still nice lookin' though.

Looks great, but in your first pic some spots look a little empty. You may want to put something there in those dirt spaces, more city-like doodads would be nice. As for the second pic, it looks great. Keep it up. :D

Thanks for the comments, guy. I really wish I was better at terrain, but there's so much I don't know about it.
I'll post some more pics if I have anything worth showing. :D

Very good Pic. I like it very much. The only thing you may want to consider is a little bit more enviormental doodads. My favorite of your 3 other pics so far. Keep it up.:D

OK, looks quite nice... but consider that City landscapes are the easiest ones 2 create... I really like the small hills with the houses on it, just make it another tileset i think Grass sets off to mucyh against the "pavement"

Thanks for the comments, guys. It's much appreciated! :D

Here's another screeny from the same terrain as the last screenshot, only further developed.

Very good looking. Only suggestion: More eviormental doodads in certain areas, like vines or grass doodads around some of the pillars. The pillars tend to be too noticable at ground point, so just put some doodads in some of those areas. Put a tiny bit more grass doodads in random places too. Wilderness area = no one there = lots of natural things. Overall great looking job. Keep it up! :D

Wow... Considering the experience you have, thats exceptional.

I don't know if you know this or not, but since I didn't learn about this until after i had Wc3 4 weeks, ill tell you.

Hold down CTRL and press:

Page Up to Move the doodad Upwards
Page Down to Move the doodad Downwards

And the special part that will let you get doodads extra close:
Numpad 4 moves it left
Numpad 6 moves it right
Numpad 8 moves it up
Numpad 2 moves it down
