Is there a hero arena with all the basic heroes, all the regular features etc that isn't protected so it's basically like a template? |

what? every hero arena is the same... it seems no one who makes a hero arena can be even slightly original, and even if it is original, its probably horribly imbalanced (no wait there was one, angel arena i think, wasnt too terrible) heres how to get the template: go to file>new then make an original map |

Hey, here's an idea. Answer my question with a serious reply and don't be morons. I was going to make it for some friends. I don't spend all my time making maps, sorry. The last time I made a map was back when blizzard released the patch where you couldn't destroy the bridges in stromguarde, if you even remember that. |

Go to a site that has a lot of map downloads and get one from there. Shouldnt take long to find a unprotected one. www.WarcraftIII.net and www.Warcraft.org should have plenty. We do agree with the above posters in that if your going to play it on B-Net pls do something that is in someway different from whats already been done. The last thing we need is more cloned copies of bad maps. If you want to do something for cool for your friends (like name all the heroes after them) thats fine. But B-Net is overflowing with 1000 copies of 1 map with minor changes just so some idiot can say he made a map. This makes it hard to find good maps and makes ppl reluctant to try new maps. Not saying thats what your planning but that is why you got a less than warm response to your question. |

@ DemonicSoul I am making a map which is a Hero Arena... And a lot more. So don't you come bitchin about "There are no original hero arenas", because I´ve seen them, and I have one. Regards |

Well, if I even decide to edit it, I'm just going to edit the units and heroes after some friends. If I made a map for serious to give out to bnet, it would be an original melee map. Or something so extremely retarded that it's hilarious like just one HUGE ****ing map, blank, grass template, with the "faceless one" enemy in the campaigns resized to fill up 8/10 of the map. The fun would be seeing peoples reactions. But this isn't the case. It's for some friends. Right now, my world editor doesn't even work. |

ArchOwl, I can make you a "template" (or in other words make a map for you), with some basic heros then you can fool around with all settings. This would include an arena with a little doodad worked in. Hero choosing, win and lose conditions and a leaderboard.. Do you want me to make that for you? I'll also leave credits up to you to place in the map. |

You're rediculously nice, Dead-Inside, lol. As Hivemind said it might be easier for everyone(and faster) if you just found a good unprotected map and made a personal version of it. Just make sure it only sees restricted use.. |

True. Which reminds me... I need completely new spell ideas! Gotta make a thread about that... I'm getting my map back from Demanufacture tomorrow, with all TFT "add-ons". Sooo... I can finaly begin to do the thing I love most... TRIGGER THE MAP! :ggani: Anyhow... The mini-game will be fun, original AND fair! Beat that! My map is a Hero Arena and its open source; if you need a template. But I agree you should make your own. I made it just for fun. Though its not overly different. The map itself is pretty well balanced I think; as is the heros. There's a thread here with my map on it. Just look for my name. -D |
