Guest | -Is there any way to make it so any units can sleep? (e.g. in this case, a peon) -How do I set a computer off to harvest, like an AI mining script in SC? -What's the best way of creating an 'interior'? e.g. I have some evil wizard in a cave or 'building'- so far I've just created raised land around it, and made some of it that black unpassable terrain. |

Guest | Hi! For units sleeping, I think there is a property in the editor called sleeps. But I've read somewhere that units controlled by a player or computer never sleep, only neutral units do sleep. I'm not sure. About the AI scripting I cant help, sorry. I've no idea on that subject. About creating dungeons or caves, I've been working on something similar (Also an Evil wizard after the plot, I wasn't very creative :) ) , and I think that the city tileset its one of your best options. Using 2 height only the result is quite good unless you want to use a 3rd person view. Flying units can pass through, and some units will try to fire passing the walls, however. For caves, you can try with more height, It's quite good also. The best trick is lowering a little the camera, and maybe locking it to your character's feet (if you have a main character). Also, if you are playing with the camera, leaving the Sky black is another possibility. My map will be released soon (Contest end in less than a week), and it will be unprotected, so you could check it out for ideas if you like. |

Guest | In the Unit Editor, under every unit, there is a 1 line sleep section somewhere near the bottom. As for comp/human units never sleeping, sometimes in meele, my Orc units fell asleep. |

Guest | Forget the sleeping orc. Someone in irc said I need to use regedit and stuff, but I'll just leave it. I'm learning about mixing terrain palette's now. w00t. Quote:
Ad I already tried that. And tried making it a custom unit for hostile neutral player, but couldn't select it for him... |

Guest | Make it off a model for a sleeping unit, then just change everything about him. It's like if you want units to load into an orc burrow. You have to make them off a Peon model. I dunno why, but it seems to work. |

Guest | I'm now getting some variable line error and some number (377, though it changed previously after I added triggers). Do I simply have to go over all the triggers and make sure all the variables are selected? |
