Hey all. For my comeback I have been working on a not-too-hard map for the last 4 days or so. It is based loosely on the "Dungeon Keeper" concept. Here's the gist of it: Players 1-3 are Dungeon Keepers. They have a Town Hall type structure and 3 unit producing structures. They also have a relatively close mine and 5 human slaves which act as peons without an attack. The ultimate goal for the DKs is to destroy the human outpost outside of their cave. DKs also get to choose ONE hero. But if this hero dies they lose! But if the Evil heros complete two mini quests and bring two quest items to the center of the map a 2 minute Dark Ritual is started. If it is completed then all evil heroes in the center are instantly promoted to level 10 and given lots of great items to wipe out the humans with. Players 4-11 are humans. They can choose 1 hero and equip him / hire henchmen. Then they can go explore the DKs sprawling cave area. Their ultimate goal is to kill the DKs Town Hall Structures. They can also: rescue slaves for a reward, creep, complete min quests for items, etc. Oh, and human hero deaths are permanent. If a hero dies he is removed and the player can choose another level 1 hero from the tavern. Player 12 is a NPC human player. It defends the outpost as well as launches small party raids on the DK Town Halls from time to time. This AI can and will rescue slaves as well. what if there were certain points in the dungeon that could be used as spawn points for either side? it take the fighting towards more specific points of the map rather than all over. just a thought. overview looks very good!:D |
