I don't think you realize that Making a WC3 Movie is much more than being good at trriggers/terrain. It is about Creativity. Use your creative side in this case. It doesn't matter if your stories suck. Build up your sucky stories into more elaborate, entertaining stories by thinking of new items/events/places. By creating your own story, you will be much more impressed with yourself. Now if you truley want to make a cool movie, you need to plan everything out before you start with terrain/triggers/story/other things. Good luck. :D |

No offense to Insan in this post, but I doubt he'll take any anyway, but do something like IC. It didn't have a strong story line. Right down a list of ideas that you think would be good, and make an insane parody outta somethin. Well that might be copying a liltle bit too much but if you don't have a strong story line than don't make a drama. |

I'd actually LIKE more people to copy my style of map, so far everyone on the planet has done a drama or story-filled one, but only a handful have done a skit comedy. Yeah, IC didn't have much of a storyline, it was mostly a collection of ideas that I had. I like to see things on TV, movies, games etc and then try to recreate them in a Warcraft environment. What are you talking about with drama overdose? There have only been action/adventure/fighting type cinematics. And who is everyone on the planet, Insan? We have only had a couple proffesional type cinematics and all of those have been comedy or fighting, no drama yet. Its not like there are alot of cinematics out there in the first place. Go check at warcraftiii.net. There are only 56 cinematic maps there and most of them are story-less fighting cins, trailers, or comedies. crt1990 - try working on your writing. it is better to have a story created by youself. If you are creative enough to make cinematics you should have enough creativity to write.:D |

Why don't you just try your best at making a story but put more creativity into it. You get better by trying, not making other people do you work. And the caps thing does get on my nerves... O.o |

I think I hava a story for you. I would have used it, but you sould have. Its a rogue in village. He takes a map he find (don´t no how), and it leads to a big treasure of gold. He find some comrades, and goes out to find the treasure. After many adventures he finds the cave where the treasure is. But a keeper (what keeper?) is guarding the treasure, and after a bloodig duel, the rogue return home, rich. Ok, this need some fixes, but that i think you can do yourshelf. |
