Due to a large amount of flaming and useless posts in the Skins Gallery, we have decided that posts made in that forum will no longer count towards your post counts. Your post counts should have already been updated. Many of you will notice a severe decrease in your post count as a result of this. The only response I can give is that our hands have been forced and we were left with little other choice. Please remember this is supposed to be a community, not a playground for children to tease and torment each other. If you have nothing positive to say, don't say it at all. In the coming weeks and onward into the future of this site we will be cracking down severely on users who choose to continue to flame and incite flame wars. Multiple offenses after being warned will ultimately lead to permanent bans. This includes staff as well, for those of you who assume it sneaks by upper-management. |

im lucky-------i dony post at skin forum!! strange thing to do,maybe a warning, but not that 10warning=1 short ban(1-3 days) 3 bans=1 large ban (2 months) 2 large bans=permanent BAN |

10 warnings!??!?!?!? I'd say 2 or 3. Hum, remember, DraX that includes you too ;D Not that you did anything wrong... |

LOL!!! Not Fair!!! I lost half my posts and almost all of them were from about 2 months ago. : ( I dont think this will work. I think it will encourage more flaming and useless posts, cos everyone will be like 'It doesnt add to my post count so I can post anything'. Just my two cents. |

Actually, right now people post just about anything there in order to increase their post counts. I don't see how this will contribute to more flames, but be warned, if it does, we will not be light on the offenders in any way. If currently writing a script that will enable us to force a timed temporary ban on any user, and I will start dealing those out if need be with great prejudice against repeated flamers, each time increasing the length of the ban. flamers |

i know of a much simpler solution. dissable the post count feature. it is totally pointless. anyone that cares one bit about bettering thier number is an idiot and no one really needs them around here anyway. |

hear hear, i agree with kdub hang on, i post in the skins gallery but i havnt lost ANYTHING, what the? |

We already spoke of that kdub, and it might happen, and probably will, just the thing is that vb doesnt have a "shut off posts" feature. Probably gonna have to go through every frickin forum and set the votes to not count to the total. |

if you guys werent creating more forum sections like they are goin out of style it wouldnt matter. there needs to be 1 art forum, 2 tops. get rid of the stupid mods and campaigns that wont get finished. its not like all these forums are getting hundreds of posts per day each. bring some of them together already. |

Some of the existing forums are in place as a temporary forum until the new CMS is completed and such things are moved to more advanced scripts for galleries and the like. |

You could just remove the one line of code that displays the post count and set the minimum number of posts for a custom title to 0. Would take under 5 minutes, and while it doesn't actually remove the post counts, if they aren't shown anywhere and have no effect on you, who will care? |

hear hear, all listen, i agree. Remove the post count completly, its really annoying signing up to a forum only to discover that in order to get a custom title you need 100+ posts or something. |
