Hey, I just recently was thinking about saving games on multiplayer maps so u can use the same hero over and over and continue to build him up, it wont work in my map, but I figured the public could help me do this, then everyone cud use it.
The system would use a players name, their hero, the hero lvl and each of the heroes stats. To avoid cheating, it wud be encrypted, like for the players name, y=z 1=9 9=1 and so on, so when the person types "-save" it displays the encrypted message, something like yzidjfijkjkgfdkj and when the player types -load yzidjfijkjkgfdkj next time they play, they get their old hero.
Thats how its done, I just need sumone who knows triggers enuf to do that. I dunno if anyone understands, but if u do, and u can do it... umm do it! Im just here with the idea, u gotta do it
Recap: They type save and the game converts their name from like jimmy to xtzzp and then their hero(Each hero type wud be assigned a number) lets say 4=paladin and then their stats converted into letters, lik 22=acc, up to j, lik 0=a 1=b 2=c 3=d etc... up to J=9 so then this is done for int,str,agi. Now u have sumthin like xtzzp3accabfabc Then, the heroes lvl converted to #'s is added... The hero is lvl 10 xtzzp3accabfabcaba Items cud be added, but it wud be more complicated, a 3? digit number wud be needed for each item, and 000 wud be empty slot so 6 more 3 digit numbers wud be added to the end for Items.
I dont know much about typed messages, or any way to convert the letters and such in WC, Maybe there will need to be spaces between each thing, like xtzzp 3 acc abf abc aba, but it wud work.
