yoda_24's firebat

We'd like to welcome yoda_24 as the second pick for the staff favorites skin category. Yoda has done a terrific job bringing a piece of the Starcraft universe to Warcraft 3 with his firebat skin.


In this skin Yoda_24 has captured the look and feel of the firebat by making good use of the marine model. The shading and detailing is also well done. One thing that makes this skin especially unique is its Warcraft 3 cartoony style. This makes the skin fit right in to any Warcraft 3 project. This is a big plus considering yoda_24 has graciously offered this skin to the community so anyone can use it in their map. The skin can be found in the skinning gallery section in the skin pack stickies.


Congratulations to yoda_24 for being selected for the staff favorites, we look forward to more great skins from him.

It looks like a CnP...... there's a cinematic pic from SC:ghost on blizz's website that has some very similar texture work. If its not CnP though, its a nice skin. If it is... why is it a staff favourite? :bgrun:

Nope. If anyone feels like hunting down the link to the blizzard insider with the firebat cinematic pics, feel free to do so. If it isn't then I apolegize :) - it just seems a little too familiar if ya know what I mean.

hm...i think i saw those textures b4 too....i dunno where...

Really people, just cause it looks cool doesn´t make it CnP...
He uses reference pictures so i think that would cause that likeness to the cinematic pics...

thats really good. I too want to become a skinner but im just to lazy to download all the programs and learn how to do it. I was thinking bout making a starcraft map and i just might use your work! Thanx!

I just thought it was funny, im going nuts, im bored! agh.

my work is open to anyone... as long as its a) on my site (about 99% of them are), b) they have an internet connection, and c) they get to the site when its not down cause of angelfires really bad bandwith...

I actually got to your site once! But i didnt see anything work dloading... j/k all them are great I just had no use for them hehe.
