Guest | I'm creating a new campaign with the preliminary name "Warcraft II Remix" for TFT, using the friendly new campaign editor. It will be a remake of the Tides of Darkness (and eventually Beyond the Dark Portal) campaign, map for map. Features include: - Slower-paced WCII style gameplay. - Maps almost identical to the originals. - Naval Combat - Perfect Unit Balance (aka "Identical Unit Stats for Both Races") - Less than Perfect Spell Balance (aka "We get bloodlust, and you get exorcism. Ha ha.") - Two versions: Classic and Remix. Classic is a plain remake, sticking as close as possible to the original. Remix uses WC3:TFT features to add heroes and other things. Heroes include Alleria, Uther, Khadgar, Turalyon, Hellscream, Bladefist, Teron Gorefiend and others. Currently, the first levels of the classic human campaign is finished, as well as all custom units/abilities. Now, if anyone wants to have his or her name in the credits as a co-creator, there are a few things I could use some help with. Terrain Recreation. If you feel you can recreate some of the ToD Orc Campaign maps in WC3, feel free to let me know. You don't have to do triggers or anything, just recreate the terrain with no changes except maybe some height variation. (Not cliffs, though). Unit Upgrade Skinning. You could reskin an archer or shandris for the ranger, a forest troll axethrower or trapper for the berserker, a knight or maybe garithos for the paladin, and a plain ogre for the ogre mage. Blue ogres are no fun. Unit Modelling. I need a model for the eye of kilrogg: The flying sentry ward just doesn't cut it. If anyone wants to contribute, post here or PM me to let me know. Oh, and I'll throw up a post here somewhere when I release the first beta version. |

Guest | Sure, welcome aboard. You can attach the orc level you've finished in a post or send it to me at [email protected] .Feel free to post/send anything else regarding the project, too. That intro cinematic sounds interesting: Try to get it attached and/or mail it. There will also be some more cinematics during the campaign, and I'm not very good at those myself. For now, I'm working on some minor balancing such as peasant vs tree attack speed, as well as human levels two and three. If anyone else wants to join, let me know. [I would have attached the first level here, but it's a bit too big. I'll get the size down a bit tomorrow and attach it then, instead.] |
