The Watchers

A long while ago I mentioned something about this project, but since then a lot has happened. Recently i've revived the campaign and have greatly expanded it's scope which includes the plot, characters and locations. Though I've just begun and nearly everything is speculation, the campaign should be around a dozen actual missions with cinematic maps sprinkled throughout. The entire campaign takes place in an alternate and totally unique universe that myself and a bunch of others have partially developed in a forum rpg (link to the pages will be at the bottom of the post).

Though I know given enough time I can pull off a decent campaign, I'd really like to go all the way and really bring the universe in which this campaign takes place in to life. I'll type up a quick synopsis of the general plot of the campaign to try to get somebody's attention.

The campaign takes place on Cypress, a world that has no natural balance between Dark and Light. Space-faring beings eventually came and through their technology and natural powers created an artificial balance between Dark and Light. Time passed and nations rose and fell (we only see the continent of Dalantria in the campaign, the rest of the world is unexplored by the Dalantrians) and then a man began to preach of the end of the world. His words fell on deaf ears and he passed away in his madness, leaving his son in a difficult position once his father's prophecy begins to come true.

The Prophecy spoke of a being, a Demon that travels between the stars and consumes the life energies (not magic, I don't want it to sound like a War3 rip-off) of planets, leaving them dead and devoid of life. The campaign is all about the fight to rid Cypress of the Demon.

The forum rpg we wrote is the second coming of the demon several hundred years later, but it shaped much of the history that i'm using to write this campaign. You can find the Era of War here.
