Anyone know the size and filetype of the campaign background glue screen, it says in the editor that you can put a custom background for a custom campaign, but i cant figure out how big and the type of file the background must be to be usable.

If your talking about the screen behind the text when the map is loading, and you have TFT, open the Monolith map. It has 5 loading screen files for custom backgrounds. 4 are the actual picture (separate parts) and the other is the model which you don't need to change. Just export those files and change the tga files to what you want and import them to your map and use a custom path and take off the war3importedfiles folder in the path.

no, not the loading screen, the background screen that shows when you go to the regular singleplayer campaigns. (AKA Arthas holding frostmourne, blood mage holding spell/energy in his hand on outland, Rexxar with Misha on the rocks). I want to include a custom screen for my custom campaign (which is possible, they have the option in the campaign editor) and I'd like it to be a picture, not a 3d model glue like blizzard has for their campaigns.

A sure fire way is to open up WE and crack open the campaign included

Hmm, I don't seem to see it, but I know that the images for standard WC3 are mdx files (or whatever units are stored as), because they are availible as choices for models, just look under Game Interface, keep the preview screen in the terrain visible and go down one by one, or just look for <Race>Backdrop_V0/1 (Ex: OrcBackdrop_V1)

yea i checked them out earlier and they are all seperate .mdx files, but there should be some file orsomething that brings them together... I'll keep checking it out and let everyone know what I come up with.
