Ehhom, were you importing your skins DIRECTLY into the war3.mpq? emote_sweat

EDIT:
ANYWAY, if some of ur friends are playing war3 then perhaps u could ask them to e-mail you an non-screwed war3.mpq and replace your´s with it.

Before thinking of implementing skins into MPQ you should consider either implement them into maps or just place them into their respective folder under wc3 installation directory (for preview purpose)

Rofl. The war3.mpq is like 400 mb!

Just reinstall.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Btw, how the hell can you screw it up that much?

You must have done something other than just import a skin.

It actually sounds to me like the list file may have been damaged or deleted. I'm not positive but can any of the mpq programs rebuild a listfile? Either way just reinstall, that's the quickest way to fix it.

Uh, the only tutorial of mine that even mentions War3.MPQ is getting YobGul's converter to work. I don't see how you could mess up while skining a unit.

If you don't want to bother with reinstalling, you can use Warcraft III Resetter.

I did this before. I made a backup of the mpq file. It 420 mb i think. If you put it into the mpq file the skin will show up all the time even in regular games. If you want to put it into a map instead of choosing the mpq pick a map you want. Make sure you dont open and save the map after you install it because it will go back to default.
