For those who didn't know i'll tell everyone about this now.

Blizzard have added a new function to the trigger editor that was put in just for cases when you need help with triggers, you can copy the GUI triggers as text, as shown on the attached screenshot, very nifty i would say. A trigger named Test1 with the event Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing Hello! as An exact match and the condition (Color of Player 1 (Red)) Equal to Red and the action Game - Display to (All players) the text: Hello! shows up as

Test1
Events
Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing Hello! as An exact match
Conditions
(Color of Player 1 (Red)) Equal to Red
Actions
Game - Display to (All players) the text: Hello!

As I said this makes it a lot easier when you want help with triggers on the forums.

(not the best screenshot but you get the idea)

What?!? People don't look at stickied threads? That's what they're for! Well if they don't look at it then they don't deserve to know it :P.

I have the same problems in the Editing tools Forum. There is very much information in stickied threads, but instead of reading them, people tend to post stupid questions.

Look how much stickies there are though. LOL. It takes up the whole screen. You have to scroll down twice to the real posts.

The very big problem with sticky posts is that it is difficult to note when a new one was posted. I read all the stickied posts when I first entered to wc3campaigns.com , but I after that I noticed the new posts after 5 days the day they were posted,

Perhaps a Big Yellow NEW before the white important should be placed. So Blind people like me will note them.

emote_confused I really don't see how this would be useful. Couldn't you just enter in the same? I don't see the usefulness. Please excuse my naievity, i m a newb and have been for a long while. At the risk of getting off topic, what i NEED is a way to take what a player says-no matter what it is- and store it for use later or use it immediately as a value to change a units name or summat like that. Can u help? emote_confused

It is useful because people can actualy CnP thier trigger exactly and post it to show others, or to get help without retypeing what it does.

2nd of all, yea that is WAY off topic, this inst a Q&A thread, got a question about mapping that isnt related to this... make a new thread... But just to let you know, you cannot change a units name in game, only in the editor. You can replace a unit with another unit that looks the same but with a different name, but that still needs to be made in the editor.
