Custom Loading screens

Yea what file type is "appropriate" for these? I'd like to know so I can convert my art files to the specified, or needed, type.

go to war3 directory, maps/frozen throne/scenario/monolith.w3x open up monolith, open up triggers, it will show you how to do custom loading screen.

Does any1 know if the loading screen can be blp??? I havent tried it myself.. the reason I want to know is that tga takes way too much hdd and blp doesnt.

Those 4 images are REALLY pissing my off. Its hard as hell for me to try to cut the image in to the right sizes to copy over the ones they said to. Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong? I believe it shouldnt take me 2 hours to do this either.

uh...I'm going to assume you're using photoshop. go to view - new guide. enter 512 px into the box. Do this for both vertical and horizontal. Then proceed to crop the top left section (the crop tool will snap to the guides) and crop, and save. Undo, crop another section, save. So on.

If you don't have photoshop, well, dont know how to help ya there...

Ok, Well I got the top left corner to work but the other corners are just white, whats up with that?

um...is that the way your pic is made? lol, when you throw it all into the map, it'll combine all the pics, so make sure all corners have somethin in em...

Idiodically simple, but that's the only thing I could think of...

here is a real EZ way i do it. Make ur image, it should be 1024x768 i think. After u make it on the 1024x768 extract all the load screens from monolith. Then just copy the whole 1024 by 768 image and paste it on the smaller ones matching the corners. Just zoom in and nudge with keyboard.

Ok, now theres a memory access violation.
