I know there is a way to have a colored name in a custom game, but I don't know how.

I use W3M Map Utilties to get the color codes for map editing but I don't know how or if I can apply them to Battle.net.

Can anyone help me out?

this coloured texts are in every tooltip ...
For example:
Recuite |cffffcc00S|rhaman
and in the game it will be this:
Recruite S haman
the colourcode is between the text and the first "|" if you want to end this farbcode use "|r"
use can use this codes also in your logged in nickname, unitnames and normal texts....

get warcolor... its a dandy little coloring program... but promise me you won't overuse the fade effect like in the pokemon stadium map where everything is fading some random color for no reason at all (it fades from pink to brown sometimes, and it's the ugliest thing i've ever seen)

the fade effect is cool, but it annoys the hell outta me...

To do this manually, look at the first part of the color code:
Quote:
|c00112200
The first letter (c) says "I'm a color tag". The second and third numbers (1s, in the example) are hexidecimal for a value 0 through 255 of red. The next two (2s) are hex for a value of blue. The next two numbers (0s) are hex for a value of green.
I've been told (on the Battle.net forums) that the last two numbers (0s) represent alpha transparency.
Having never experimented, I can only assume that this means your text will be invisible at FF (which is fully alpha) and totally visible at 00, with some level of transparency for every value in between.

ehr , he wasn't talking about coloring account names, He was talking about showing names with colors in the game's text messages.
